Hi, I'm Lisa-mommy to my boys, David, 8 and Matty, 6 and wife to Steve. In between school and work we spend our time playing outdoors on the central coast of CA, eating chocolate chip pancakes, tapping tunes on the piano (David) and choreographing elaborate lightsaber duels (Matty). the animoos at the zoo

We went to see the animoos (thats how Matty says it!) at the zoo this morning. We were supposed to meet a friend but it didn’t work out. We paid $13 to get in and stayed for about 13 minutes. I love the photo of David looking at the bird exhibit. Then we went to the lake and played a bit. We had a stroke of luck and the Borlands kiddos were free so we met up for lunch at McDonalds. The boys ate, played and explored while Kristen and I talked. My camera died so I missed out on a bunch of photo opps. Oh well! It was so relaxing and fun! Happy Tuesday.

The kids weren’t fussy its just a small zoo and we moved fast. Matty saw the big open space near the park to run, and it was calling his name.

I don’t think we’ve ever spent more than 30 minutes at that zoo per visit, usually 15 or 20. We have the $50 annual family membership so we just go every month or so for a short visit.
