• Hi, I'm Lisa-mommy to my boys, David, 7 and Matty, 6 and wife to Steve. In between school and work we spend our time playing outdoors on the central coast of CA, eating chocolate chip pancakes, tapping tunes on the piano (David) and choreographing elaborate lightsaber duels (Matty). I create handmade jewelry and love taking pictures. Stick around and get to know us!

vacation.

a few days in solvang and a few in carpinteria. lots of time to play and relax.

mr. sandhands…bring me a dream.

pretty sure david does not want to get his feet wet.

david walked blocks and blocks around santa barbara and carpinteria.

ahhh, love a big, soft bed! and a sleepy boy, too.

wall-e was a big hit.

browsing around the bookstore.

lots of daddy love.

to be honest, coming home feels really hard. i loved the slow pace and lazy schedule. i always feel overwhelmed jumping back into real life. oh well, ready or not…here I go!!

Great pics. Love the one of Matty in the bed. I think I’m going to go crawl into mine right now.
Hang in there with the transition back to reality.
    Miss you so!

I love the looking at the pictures you take; you’re so talented, and take the neatest pictures. You find the right shot for everything! If you’d go back and read all of my other posts, then you would know that the pictures with David are my favorite. I just love his tininess (if that’s a word), and his sweetness just oozes through the screen at you. I think Matty is adorable, too, but for some reason, David gets my heart.

We just got back from vacation, too, and it was really hard trying to get back in to the swing of things around home. It’s always so much more fun to relax!! :)

Absolutely love the picture of Matty in the bed. So precious. I’m glad you all had fun.

Loving the pictures, Lisa. Seeing little David reminds me so much of Sean. I miss those cute little jeans, cute little shoes. His, of course, are still cute but not tiny like they used to be. Can’t wait to see more!!

    Have a great day.

We’re so looking forward to ours in October…our kids are in year-round school so summer tends to flit by in a frantic pace…but October…lots of time for exploration…counting the days!

I just stumbled on your blog and I’m eager to read more. We moved from Carpinteria to Portland, Oregon a couple of years ago and while we love it here, we miss our beachy small-town home. I hope you had a good vacation!
