i ended up with the brown sweater on the end.
my arms were getting itchy to get back home and hold my boys. so good, to get away and so good to come back home.

They are in the little shop HERE.
.
it feels like a monday, since we just got back from grandma & papa’s house and i am jumping into a day full of to-do’s. my head is full of ideas and projects and deadlines and my heart is full of thoughts and prayers for my sweet friend cara who was just diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma. pray for her, her husband and her two little girls–the youngest just one month old.
there is beauty in the everyday and joy in the suffering. deep breath.
tomorrow’s tuesday, right?
some of the apples were eaten before the made it into the pan, but nobody minded!
we put all the apples in a big sauce pan with water covering the top and a little bit of sugar.
they simmered for a couple hours and then cooled off in the fridge.
so much fun, and yummy, too!
while the grandparents are the directors, some of the other aunties and I have been playing the roles of camp counselors and camp photographers. it’s been crazy and fun and i’ll probably torture you with more pics in the coming days!!
lately we’ve been going to the zoo (which is near to Target, so that’s convenient!) and enjoying checking up on our animal friends.the monkeys were totally showing off. swinging all around and being goofy–my kids loved it.
matty is into meerkats lately. i think they are pretty cute, too.
david just wanted to explore, as usual.
my favorite is the tiger. he always lounges in the corner and watches us. he is so beautiful.
my kids will be spending time with their cousins this week. do you have anything fun planned??
Matty and I built a quick * and not very fancy* fort in the backyard yesterday. Basically, I nailed a sheet to the back fence, added a tunnel for the entrance and their pop-up tent for the other side. A soft blanket made the space cozy.Simple as it was, the kid loved it. Brought all kinds of toys inside to make the space ‘his’ and…
had a friend over for lunch to make the space feel like home. Maybe next time we’ll even make it a little fancier.
Thanks for all your sweet comments and orders for the new bird necklace. So glad you love it as much as I do! I sold 15 in a few hours–dang!! I put a few more up for those of you who still want to try and grab one while they are one sale.
More swim pics…This picture is hilarious because my brother used to (and probably still does) stick his tongue out like that when he was concentrating. Memories…
David’s back float. Look at those nice, straight legs.
Caught this pic before he put on his cheesy take-my-picture smile.
And just because Ellen didn’t like seeing David sad in his swim lessons pic, here is one of him smiling and pretty much overjoyed.
.isn’t is fun?? i love the simplicity of the piece. i’ve really debated about adding words, but i want to keep it simple and peaceful. it would be darling paired with a teenie tiny initials necklace or a single tag!
A sterling disc (1 1/4″) is hand-stamped with a simple & sweet birdie, sitting on a branch with tiny leaves. A cream freshwater pearl is the perfect accent. Strung on 18″ sterling ball chain. A delightful necklace for everyday.
The best part? I’ve got a few for sale HERE for only $38. holy moly. I’ll post more on the website in a week or so, but they’ll probably run about $46. Happy Tuesday!!
