This is our first summer with official swim lessons. Our friend Sheila is giving the boys individual lessons. Matty is working on kicking and blowing bubbles…simultaneously. he is getting more comfortable in the water and even jumped off the edge by himself–into Sheila’s arms.

This is Cody the dog. Matty enjoys bossing him around. David enjoyed making a new friend.

David isn’t so sure about the big pool. He is much happier to splash around in the jacuzzi. He gets cold easily, so he is more comfortable in the warm water. He even floated on his back with Sheila’s help.

It will still take time before Matty is water-safe. I’m not sure David will ever be water-safe, but if he is comfortable in the water, that would be a big step.
