• Hi, I'm Lisa-mommy to my boys, David, 7 and Matty, 6 and wife to Steve. In between school and work we spend our time playing outdoors on the central coast of CA, eating chocolate chip pancakes, tapping tunes on the piano (David) and choreographing elaborate lightsaber duels (Matty). I create handmade jewelry and love taking pictures. Stick around and get to know us!

live. last night. it was so amazing!! he is my favorite singer/songwriter and it was so fun to see him in person. we stood right in front of the stage. there were a couple college girls next to me *freaking* out and although i felt the same way inside, i tried to play it cool. and i bought a tee shirt, which i am wearing today, and steve is mocking me. i’m a dork–i admit it!! if you don’t know his music, find out more about him HERE. buy his new CD, it’s wonderful!! happy saturday.

Okay, so I had a friend who went last night and said it was terrible–that he was being really rude and had major attitude. But, she did say he was nice to the people up front. How fun that you went! See?–I’ve always said you’re so cool and you went to a concert on a Friday night in a college town at a local brewery. You rock! :)

oooo, what a lovely voice he has.

joy, he got really frustrated because there was so much talking in the bar area. he kept asking for them to quiet down and it never really quieted. finally he unplugged (which was awesome for us in the front, but stunk for everyone else!). the music was amazing and i loved seeing him perform. i felt that the people in the bar area were thoughtless as they refused to keep it down! regardless, i had a blast!!

oh good! i needed the reminder because I’ve been wanted to download the CD ever since Blissdom!

i just found out about him about a month ago by using Pandora{dot}com. i’ve fallen in love with his music and got so excited for about 5 min when i realized he was coming to SLO. then i remembered that (sadly) i don’t live there any more and it just wasn’t going to work to make the trip down there. so glad you enjoyed the concert!! wish i could have gone.

Wow, that was amazing self control, I would have been losing it right along with the teen girls. I have to admit, I feel this way about John Mayer, too. I think he’s an a-hole as a person, but I like his music, and he’s fun to see in concert. I went to one last year, and there was this fiftysomething woman next to me who’d had too much to drink, and at one point she leaned over to me and said, “I’ve never been so horny in my entire life.” Oooooh-k.

Lisa, I tagged you over at my blog with this fun picture tag game—it involves posting a photo, so I thought of you (promise, it’s not annoying). Scroll down blah-blah to the end.

I was at that show, too! I actually went to see Meiko (i had never even heard of her until a few days prior…my friends told me about her music) and so i honestly had no idea who josh was. :) I have to be honest and say that i was turned off by his attitude. I realize that people in the way back were being rude, but it’s a BAR, on a friday night, in a college town…i’m not sure what he expected. (And the final straw was when he used the f-word against them.)

There were many of us sitting to the side in the booths, and we weren’t able to hear his “unplugged” songs just b/c he was trying to punish the people in back. Anyway, sorry for the negative comment, but there are too many great musicians out there for me to spend any money on this guy’s music. I think he lost quite a few fans that night…

I love his music and am so jealous that you got to see him! I’m thinking a Joshua Radin inspired piece is in order.

Thank you for posting his website link–beautiful lyrics, sound. I find myself teary-eyed, as I have just lost a friend to cancer, and his lyrics are contemplative and life-affirming. Thank you again.
