the great toy clean-out.

on saturday i spent about 3 hours going through all of the boys’ toys–organizing and getting things together to donate. you may not know, but i’m not the most organized person. we had toys in baskets in the living room, toys under the coffee table, toys that no one played with and took up lots of space. i was brutal–if they didn’t play with it, it had to go. now the toys are organized in baskets under the bed and in the closet. everything is accessible. it’s amazing! i feel like i can breathe. and guess what…the boys actually play with their toys. funny how that works, isn’t it?! oh, and don’t worry, i tucked a few special things aside.

how do you keep on top of the toy clutter?

be still.

on sunday i felt a little blah. so steve hung out with the boys while i walked around morro bay. it was just what needed! sometimes i just need a few minutes alone to catch my breath. and i snagged those two little red chairs at the top for $5 each. so alone time and a bargain=a refreshed mommy! what helps you to feel refreshed?

my sweet friend karyn is participating in a triathlon to support the leukemia & lymphoma society and i couldn’t be more willing to help her raise money! i created this piece that represents the three legs of the race–she’ll be swimming .62 miles, biking 18 miles and running 6 miles!! today *monday* 20% of all sales (on anything from the site) will go to benefit the leukemia & lymphoma society. so SHOP for a great cause.

my friend Cara is cancer free after fighting lymphoma this year (immediately following the birth of her 2nd daughter). do you know someone affected by leukemia or lymphoma? please share your story with us.

*if you would like to order the necklace pictured, you’ll need to order the single tag necklace (under something simple) and then request the LLS design. you can also order the tag keychain (under something extra) and request the LLS design. happy shopping!
