of all the chores, laundry is the one that i struggle the most with. it’s not the washing that’s the problem, it’s the folding and putting away. that means we have piles of clean laundry everywhere. lovely! what’s your least favorite chore and have you figured out a way to overcome it??

i loved this rhyme when i was little. my simple wishes back then were for things like a new doll or a sleepover with a friend. now my heart wishes for bigger things like love, to be brave, to remember hope or to see a friend experience healing. star is hand carved then cast in sterling, about 1″ wide and has a very organic feel. perfect for a short word like…love, brave, wish, peace, hope, heal or dream. or of course we can stamp a special name or date. a wonderful gift for a graduate!!! we can stamp both sides, too! for a graduate, you might consider ‘lucky’ on one side and ‘2009′ on the other. so fun! you’ll find it here.

i found these $5 chairs at the acheivement house thrift store in morro bay. matty helped me paint them a sweet sea blue. he was such a great helper! i thought he would last a few minutes and make a big mess, but he did one chair all by himself (almost). now they are in the corner of our living room near the front window. i set them next to our end table–a perfect place for coloring or snack time with a little friend.

we’ve been featured in three amazing magazines lately and we are BEYOND thrilled. parenting featured our captured heart necklace, pregnancy featured our custom spoons and baby couture featured our lovebird necklace. each magazine is so unique and fun. if you found my blog through one of these magazines, welcome! we’re so glad you’re here. and thanks to all my blog friends–you are such an encouragement. this is starting to sound like an oscar speech, so i better thank my husband and kids for all their inspiration and patience!!

chrissie and i met up in carpinteria with the kiddos yesterday. they had fun running around, wading in the ocean, looking for trains. climbing trees and eating pizza for lunch. we tried to cram in as much sister time as we could between each 10 second interruption. but it was wonderful. so, so wonderful.
