i found these $5 chairs at the acheivement house thrift store in morro bay.  matty helped me paint them a sweet sea blue.  he was such a great helper!  i thought he would last a few minutes and make a big mess, but he did one chair all by himself (almost).  now they are in the corner of our living room near the front window.  i set them next to our end table–a perfect place for coloring or snack time with a little friend.

chrissie and i met up in carpinteria with the kiddos yesterday.  they had fun running around, wading in the ocean, looking for trains. climbing trees and eating pizza for lunch.  we tried to cram in as much sister time as we could between each 10 second interruption. but it was wonderful.  so, so wonderful.

we had good times today with our sweet friends.  the kids were cra.zy.  i haven’t forgotten about the mama necklace giveaway.  look for winners tomorrow–or maybe wednesday.  everything takes longer with the kids out of school.  happy monday!

it’s been a mellow day with just the four of us.  church was great.  then we went to a really lousy brunch at a local restaurant.  we ended up leaving and going to another restaurant that was much better.  home for an easter egg hunt and then naps.  happy easter, sweet friends!

so david has been a real rascal lately.  instead of just playing his keyboard, he prefers to knock it on the ground which make a really loud BANG that seems to delight him.  Please notice he’s standing on the keyboard in the second pic.  don’t be fooled by his sweet smile or snuggly hugs.  that kid is up to no good.

lots of creating going on around here.  matty’s favorite thing to draw right now is superheros.  i can’t believe how much his drawing has improved over the last month or two.  how do you nurture creativity in your kids or yourself??
