there is a really yummy frozen yogurt shop around the corner from the boys’ school.  you know it’s bad when your leaving and they call out ‘see you tomorrow!’.  they always have a dairy-free option for david and matthias can pile on as much toppings as he likes (well, until i stop him).  on this particular day i got mint yogurt with chocolate chips–but favorite is chocolate with butterfinger.

other obsessions…lolo’s mexican food with chips and salsa, boots and skirts, icarly (i know, i can’t get enough–i’m a dork!) and pumpkin spice lattes from starbucks.  so tell us, what’s your latest obsession??

tip toe over, crack open the door and peek in…

last night i went to check on the boys about a half hour after they were tucked in–and they were both completely sacked out.  i felt so overwhelmed with love for these two sweet boys.  all the messes and silliness melt away and i remember that they are little and learning and growing (too fast) into big boys.

and i want to slow the days down and hold on to the moment.  but all i can really do is remind myself to cherish the days and soak them up.  being a mommy is such a mix of happy busyness, constant worry, and overwhelming love.

it’s definitely starting to feel like fall.  the air is much cooler but the sun is still shiney.  there are hay bales at nearby farms and our local pumpkin patch just opened.  today we have are gonna try and get this house into a decent state and make fish tacos for dinner.  i’m catching up on email and we’ve got a new design to show you in the next day or two.  and of course there’s the usual piano playing-lincoln log building-superhero drawing-and general silliness.  what’s going on for you this fine fall day??

lauren has been babysitting for us since she was twelve.  and the boys looove her.  and it’s easy to love her, because she is awesome.  she likes superheros, builds lincoln logs, reads stories and she’s an expert snuggler.  plus she tidies up the house and folds laundry.  i know, she rocks!!  she’s graduating from high school and asked me to shoot some senior pics.  this is a first for me–but we had a great time and we got some shots that really capture her.  isn’t she darling?!

we’re introducing our christmas ornament early this year.  some of you are already planning for the holidays.  i already have a gift for my mom-but other than that, i’m just starting my christmas shopping.  christmas always sneaks up on me–so maybe i better get going!!
