• Hi, I'm Lisa-mommy to my boys, David, 7 and Matty, 6 and wife to Steve. In between school and work we spend our time playing outdoors on the central coast of CA, eating chocolate chip pancakes, tapping tunes on the piano (David) and choreographing elaborate lightsaber duels (Matty). I create handmade jewelry and love taking pictures. Stick around and get to know us!

  3. Melinda on November 13th, 2009 9:48 am

No. My dearest friend has already put her up Christmas tree and decorations. We will likely put up ours the weekend after this one. More time to enjoy them.

  4. Jenny on November 13th, 2009 9:55 am

A good friend of mine put theirs up before Halloween! Now that’s early, but you really can’t have enough Christmas can you? It sneaks up so quickly! We’ll put ours up over Thanksgiving weekend. Have fun!

  5. Tara on November 13th, 2009 9:55 am

No, absolutely not! I have been feeling the same way….I have actually begun listening to Christmas carols. I LOVE this time of year. Here in NJ it is not too warm or too cold!!!

  6. Kimberly C. on November 13th, 2009 10:13 am

No! I think I’m putting mine up before Thanksgiving this year - just because . . .

  7. Kimberly on November 13th, 2009 10:18 am

Heck no! I have two of our trees up already.

  8. Jennifer on November 13th, 2009 10:21 am

Not at all, but I’m kind of a reverse this year. We have had several blizzards and lots of freezing weather and snow and not really much of a fall. Woke up to more snow this morning, and as much as I love winter/Christmas, I would have really loved to have a proper autumn. Love the pictures.

  9. Becky on November 13th, 2009 10:24 am

I feel the same way and actually we already have our Christmas lights up! I LOVE the pic of you and David, it is adorable!

  15. Sarah on November 13th, 2009 12:09 pm

Not at all! Especially seeing as how I’ve been listening to Christmas music since before Halloween!

  16. Michelle on November 13th, 2009 12:31 pm

If my husband wouldn’t have a heart attack I would put mine up. It WILL go up the day after Thanksgiving. I too have been listening to Christmas music for a couple weeks, a local radio station has Christmas music 24/7. An early Merry Christmas to you.

As soon as Halloween was over (the day after), I took out ALL my favourite Christmas music CDs…most favourites are still Sarah Mclachlan and Jewel…such beautiful, moving music. My kids can’t believe I am playing it already in the van on the way to school!! Would love to know what your fav Christmas music is! :)

  30. angie on November 14th, 2009 9:42 am

oh nah! Funny that you mentioned..my girls asked me if i could bring upstairs-the christmas decorations today! Ready for the real tree comes on Dec 1st. Update us photos of your xmas decorations!! I bet they are beautiful like you! =)

  31. Debby on November 14th, 2009 1:04 pm

I hear you! But I have to wait until after Thanksgiving dinner at my house. I CAN’T WAIT!!!!

  32. Michelle Smid on November 16th, 2009 12:19 am

Lisa! My tree went up on the 14th! My husband wanted me to wait until dec.1st, and I wanted it up nov.1st…so I figured that was a good compromise! Let life take you where it leads you…and if that is towards putting up the tree, then so be it! Merry Christmas!
