• Hi, I'm Lisa-mommy to my boys, David, 7 and Matty, 6 and wife to Steve. In between school and work we spend our time playing outdoors on the central coast of CA, eating chocolate chip pancakes, tapping tunes on the piano (David) and choreographing elaborate lightsaber duels (Matty). I create handmade jewelry and love taking pictures. Stick around and get to know us!

when you’re a little boy at christmas time…

wrapping paper rolls are really swords

marshmallows are snow bombs

gingerbread men are aliens in disguise

every christmas card contains a secret message

and candy canes are laser guns

but thankfully

raincoats and boots turn you into a superhero.

phew!

Don’t you just love the mentality of little boys? Such fun for me to witness those stages in their growing up. Now my older one has his first girlfriend and is in his first year of college. And I still can’t believe it. But my baby is still in your Matty’s stage and it’s heartwarming to me.
    Merry Christmas!

I’ve always believed the secret of life is to be like a child again! As my children were growing, I don’t think I took enough time to enjoy the little things like wrapping paper roll swords and candy cane laser guns. But I think I’m making up for lost time with my grandsons. So very enjoyable to live life again thru their eyes. Merry Christmas, Lisa!! Enjoy every moment of the holidays!

    Hi Lisa,

The best part of Christmas is seeing it through the eyes of the children! I wanted to let you know that I’m glad our paths crossed and I wish you a very Merry Christmas!!

    Hugs,
    Karyn

try using quilt batting as snow…it makes for some great snow fights/snowballs…I run a in-home daycare and we have a Christmas in July party and we always have a snowball fight! even I love a good snowball fight!
