• Hi, I'm Lisa-mommy to my boys, David, 8 and Matty, 6 and wife to Steve. In between school and work we spend our time playing outdoors on the central coast of CA, eating chocolate chip pancakes, tapping tunes on the piano (David) and choreographing elaborate lightsaber duels (Matty). I create handmade jewelry and love taking pictures. Stick around and get to know us!

I have a soft spot for my seven year old daughter chasing my one year old son, and the sheer delight on his face it illicits and both of their giggles as he runs into her arms!
I just found your site from a really extensive series of mouse clicks that I could not hope to repeat. But I’m glad I did. So thank you, for many things that I can’t express but mainly your words.

i have a soft spot for my little sweet grandsons. The youngest was only 6 months old when my husband died (l0 months ago), and my heart hurts sometimes to know that he won’t remember grammpa. The 3 year old remembers the last time he saw grammpa. He was in a coma. He was at home in a bed. I had pulled a chair next to the bed, had my grandson on my lap. We decided that grammpa would love to “blow bubbles with us”. So grandson and i blew bubbles toward grammpa so he could “feel” the bubbles around him. The next day my husband died. That little piece of time will always be a soft spot in my heart.

I have a soft spot for watching a bird take a birdbath - looks like such fun!
I have a soft spot for all the beautiful moments in life, no matter how tiny!

My soft spot is seeing the delight in a newly toothless 6 yr old when they realize that the Tooth Fairy actually came.

I have a soft spot for when my son (2) taps me on the shoulder at 5 am and says ‘can i sleep with you and dad’, when my daughter (1) laughs - she has the most incredible really deep belly laugh. All of these just from today and it is only 9 am. bliss!

the laugh of a 3 yr old, playing with her big sister. her big sister “helping” the little sister do something for the first time. snuggling in the girls at bedtime. (we “snuggle in”, not “tuck in”) and what a great necklace!
