i’m home from evo10 which was soooo good.
amazing friends, delicious food, beautiful surroundings.
and i learned so much and connected with new friends.
if you are interested in social media and business-i highly recommend this conference!
it was hard to go, but so good to be there.
and so good to be back home!

loralee picked me up from the airport.
and then we swung by and picked up casey.
can i just say how much i love these girls?
seriously REAL and honest and amazing.
and laurie, cindy, maya, catherine, jenny and lucrecer.
the sweetest roommates. and so snuggly.

what will your week look like?

matthias had his first visit to the dentist today.
we were overdue.
since david has more pressing medical needs, sometimes matthias has to wait.
thankfully, he’s a really healthy kiddo.

he was a little nervous.
*
*
but the staff quickly put him at ease.
{the dentist is a friend of ours.}
*
*
say ahhhhh.
*
*
he was such a trooper during x-rays and cleaning.
he asked all kinds of questions
and reminded the hygienist not to cut his gums.
that kid cracks me up.

and he got a new toothbrush, floss, sticker and a trip to the treasure box.
yep, going to the dentist pretty much rocks.
{i just can’t wait for my appointment in a couple weeks 
}

to snuggle in bed for a while
to soak in the sun
to pretend there aren’t stacks of laundry to be folded
to picnic in the park
to eat lots of frozen yogurt
to pick yellow flowers
{even if they’re dandelions}
to doodle hearts and love note for someone special
to let the house be messy

we are slowing getting settled.

i’m suuuper excited about
our fireplace (we didn’t have one in the other house)
and indoor laundry.
and it’s so convenient to be in town.
i’m sad to say good-bye to our old backyard.
we put so much work out there. i loved it.

all the beds are set up
and i showered this morning
but my makeup and blow dryer are missing
and i went two days without tweezers
(which is a mini-crisis fore me!)

we’ve got stacks of stuff everywhere
and we are finishing up painting
(i cannot believe the beauty of a fresh coat of paint!!)

this week we’ve got swim lessons,
art classes
and i fly out thursday for evo (in utah!)
{just a little insane}
and did i mention i’m hijacking internet from our favorite coffee shop.
i’m sitting in the car out in the parking lot
while the boys keep asking ‘how much longer??’
guess i better run.

since we are in packing chaos
i can barely structure a sentence let alone a blog post.
so for today, you get some random (but pretty pics) and some random thoughts.

how beautiful is sweet naomi?
i love this girl–so full of spunk.
so loving and kind.

and her big sis, who is only 6 months older than david.
and so grown up.
matthias always calls naomi and hope is cousins
and even though they aren’t really cousins, they are friends so close
it’s kinda like being cousins.

in honor of father’s day, can i just say
*I LOVE MY HUSBAND*
and he is such a good daddy.

not sure what kind of birds these are
but i thought they were so interesting with their long necks.
every time we see a bird matty screams, “mommy, a bird!! quicky grab your camera!”
guess he knows mama likes to take pics of birds.
what he doesn’t realize is half the time i’m too lazy!

wish i could fly-wouldn’t that be fun?

david, you make every day full of fun.
and every day you completely steal my heart all over again.

we are in the middle of packing craziness around here.
for a while it was just a few boxes to step around,
now i pour myself a bowl of cereal and then remember i already packed the spoons.
we are so excited to settle into a new home
but i feel sentimental about leaving this sweet house (where we’ve been for 5 years).
we have all of our little family routines, favorite places to hang out
and memories that have been nurtured here.

some (or all) may end up getting a coat of spray paint.
i wonder where they’ll end up?

this absolutely stunning field of orange flowers in currently part of our daily drive
but, in a week, we won’t be seeing it nearly as often.
we have a 10 mile, rural drive every morning past farms and fields-
which i both love and hate.

one thing that hasn’t been changing is my shoes.
i’ve worn (and blogged about) these red shoes for the last three days.
super comfy, only $20 and a splash of color that makes me happy.
