• Hi, I'm Lisa-mommy to my boys, David, 8 and Matty, 6 and wife to Steve. In between school and work we spend our time playing outdoors on the central coast of CA, eating chocolate chip pancakes, tapping tunes on the piano (David) and choreographing elaborate lightsaber duels (Matty). I create handmade jewelry and love taking pictures. Stick around and get to know us!

Randomness and laziness are perfectly acceptable for a Friday! Those bird whistles are so cute! Where oh where did you find them?

    :) Hi Lisa,

I feel lazy too — random - how about this: My son has a bearded dragon named spike - when he looks at me I imagine he has british accent (like the Geico gekko) and is saying “please can’t you get me out of here?”

    Happy Friday!

I went to see “Letters to Juliet” the other night with a friend and loved it…until at a very serious part I had to clap my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing. they showed the damsel and hero in a full length shot and, as handsome as he was, his feet were situated just so and he reminded me of Ronald McDonald. Couldn’t take much more of the movie seriously.
    Random enough, I suppose :)

Did you know that you can use Viva paper towels to smooth the icing on a cake? How is that for random!!

Hi Lisa, a couple of weeks ago I was chasing swamp hens (nasty critters they are) away in our paddock, I was going slightly downhill and my gumboots slipped.. next thing I knew I was lying downhill on my back with my legs in the air, having hysterics. I laughed and laughed (while quietly trying to work out if Í’d hurt my arthritic hips). I only have to think about that day and I get the giggles all over again! Smiles..

    racecar spelled backwards is racecar.

now i’ve got to go try icing a cake with a viva paper towel.

Your blog is always so randomly inspiring!
I just went to Oriental Trading to snatch up some of these little birdies…
to the tune of $68 later :)
I found some pretty parasols and sandalwood fans I just had to have for my girl’s 10th birthday.

Opened the mail yesterday to find the ‘who do you love’ necklace that my hubby ordered for our 4 year anniversary/soon to be birth of our first daughter. I saw your name on the return label and got teary eyed and knew a.) my hubby rocks and b.) I will love my new necklace forever. Can’t wait to wear it in pictures with my baby girl. :)

Random, but not fun….I spent a long time planning and preparing this week for a Sunday School lesson that I have to teach today and came up with an amazing object lesson which involved “carmel corn”, only to wake up this morning and find out the pop corn maker I’ve had for years (Cuisineart) has broken down and died. Okay….plan B……I don’t have a plan B.
