are you ready for christmas? {decorating front porch}

we’ve got the front porch ready for christmas.

i love the chilly evenings and white lights and candles.

feels so much like winter!

we brought home a few red poinsettia plants.

so simple but such a pretty burst of color!

i put the candles i made the other day on the front porch

they really glow.

and branches from the hill across from our home

placed in big black urns and wrapped with while lights.

more on that project soon!

  6. I just saw your interview on TV – so glad I was home – your jewelry is so beautiful. Will definitely be ordering some pieces soon.

  7. nice job! looks great. i feel no matter what is going on in our lives, the mother/wives need to keep the spirit up in the household. You’re doing a fantastic job!

  8. it does sound perfect! your porch looks so cute and i can’t wait to get all of my decorations out this weekend! i am just laughing and wondering to myself, here in illinois, what you consider chilly!? : )

  9. Beautiful! Did you make that wreath? I just saw a tutorial online and am thinking of making one—was just wondering if it’s really as easy as it seems…?

  10. you do such beautiful things…and make them seem effortless – that is style!
beautiful porch – I cannot even imagine the rest of the house.

  11. your porch is beautiful….and you can only imagine how different it looks from my porch.
here in wisconsin, the only safe thing on a porch is a wreath….we expected to get 5 inches of snow….the first of the season…..friday night.

i don’t like it one bit…but your boys sure would !!

  12. Love the whole thing 🙂 Is the wreath an ornaments or bells, I can’t tell? Either way I love it and feel very inspired to get decorating around my house this weekend.

  13. Lisa, your front porch looks very welcoming for the holidays. Your candles look great. Good idea using branches in the urns with lights added.

  14. So pretty and festive! I really like your front door. I inherited a similar rocker from my great-aunt. I should paint it red like yours. It looks so sweet.

  15. LOVE! I’m totally drinking a cup of hot chololate as I read your blog. I wish I could have a beautiful porch like that but I don’t think the Wisconsin winters would allow it 🙂

  16. Yes! All you need is another rocker for your sweetie and you two could sip on cocoa and reminisce about your day ;).
I love the branches with lights and snowflakes. I was planning something similar (minus the lights) to hang horizontally (from the ceiling) above our mantle.

Thanks for sharing all these bits of great Christmas inspiration! For now, the 6+ inches of snow outside will be our decoration ;).
