{new} hand-stamped molded heart necklace

March 31st | jewelry

i’m so glad you guys love the molded heart bracelet as much as i do! it only seems right to make it into a necklace, too!

the molded heart necklace {just like the bracelet} is hand-molded and hand-cast. and you can customize both sides with your loved ones names or a special phrase.

this necklace pretty much exudes love and sweetness.

it’s hung on sterling chain {you can pick your own length}.

i love that this piece can hold so many words–up to 30 characters on each side. perfect!

it’s a great gift for mom, grandma, sister–something custom and so meaningful.

and we’ve cooked up a little something fun, just for our blog readers!

and we’ve got something fun for you today!!

heart-shaped cinnamon rolls

March 31st | DIY, food & goodies

i saw these heart-shaped cinnamon rolls over at be different act normal and i was smitten!

instead of making my own, i just popped open a package from trader joes. i used their jumbo cinnamon rolls. they are seriously tasty. please excuse my cookie sheet. it’s been through a lot!

i unrolled one side until it was the same size as the inside roll and created a point at the bottom of the heart. reshaping the cinnamon rolls took about 2 minutes.

i love a super fast, super sweet project.

we are a big let’s-make-breakfast family. i make pancakes a couple times a week and usually cinnamon rolls and eggs at least once a week.

what’s your favorite family breakfast?

{new} molded heart bracelet

March 30th | jewelry

i have been dying (okay, not dying but so excited) to share the new molded heart bracelet with you.

i’ve been wearing one for the last few weeks and loving it.

the heart is hand-molded and hand-cast for a thick, organic feel. so pretty.

and you can customize both sides. i have my boy’s names of one side and ‘my heart is full on the other’.

sweet. simple. and pretty. i think it’s perfect for every day. but especially mother’s day!

mother’s day is coming soon–it’s only about a month away. so now’s a good time to get shopping!

and tomorrow we just might be introducing the molded heart necklace, too.

how would you customize the molded heart bracelet?

what i wore wednesday

March 30th | what i wore wednesdays

it’s wednesday. which means, i’m linking up with lindsey for a little fashion inspiration.

above, new jeans from gap that are making me super happy. they just fit right. love that! top, gap. gray cardi, gap. scarf, world market. boots, anthro.

for church on sunday. dress, scarf, boots, all anthro. cream cardi, target.

above, jeans, anthro. black ruffle top, local boutique. gray cardi, target. green shoes and chunky bracelet, both thrifted. necklace, my shop.

okay! ready for a deep, soul-searching question? ha!

what’s your favorite brand of denim? i love some of the brands anthropologie carries, but they are pricey! gap usually has some great jeans for around $50 or less.

papier mache nests

March 29th | decorating, DIY

i was totally inspired by this project from country living magazine. just in time for easter, too!

for supplies you’ll need shredded paper (i used strips of brown grocery bags), white glue (equal parts glue and water, mixed well), a small bowl, plastic wrap and wax paper.

i covered the small bowl with plastic wrap and started dipping strips of paper into the glue mixture. i knew it was going to be drippy and messy, so i made sure to lay down wax paper first. once i got quite a few layers of paper i let the nest dry overnight. then i carefully peeled away the nest from the bowl. so fun!

i filled the papier mache bowl with robin’s eggs {made by whoppers}. and set it next to a cute bunny that i picked up from target for $5.99.

thanks for the inspiration, country living! now i am totally excited up for easter. i want to decorate the house and start picking up things for the boys’ easter baskets.

do you decorate for easter?

me and sarah

March 29th | blog friends

last saturday, sarah and i met in santa barbara for some girl time. it’s about 2 hours south for me, 2 hours north for her and the perfect place to hang out.

she was my college roommate and since we have so much history, it’s become the kind of friendship where you grab a cup of coffee, pour out your soul and completely lose track of time.

it was seriously a breath of fresh air. i needed a little time away. i needed quiet time in the car to drive and think. i needed to talk and take my time and not take care of kiddos.

i needed a little chips and salsa and time to sit outside under the patio while it rained.

small or big–have you done anything just for YOU lately?

david {loves} daddy

March 28th | an everyday moment, david, family

oh my goodness. this little boy sure loves his daddy.

and what’s not to love? his daddy is nurturing and fun and all around awesome.

i am so thankful that he is my kids’ daddy. i didn’t think very much about what kind of daddy my husband would be before we were married.

but i’m blessed. he’s a natural–so caring and loving. and of course rough and tumble.

when david was born i had so many questions. how will steve react? can we weather this storm? what will become of our family?

every day steve shows us how much he loves us and that he is committed to us.

david loves his daddy {and so do i!}
