Hello friends! It’s Friday and I’m linking up with Jeannett over at Life Rearranged to share cell phone pics from the last week {or two!}. Blog your cell phone pics and link up with us!The chair above is from an article in Anthology magazine. Isn’t it adorable? If I found a great, old chair with good upholstery, it would be so fun to paint the wood turquoise to give it more personality.

I snapped this picture while walking through the market in Khon Kaen, Thailand. I miss our friends so much!

Yum. Spring rolls at the mall in Thailand. And the sticky rice with mango? Loooove.

Our long flight home {30 hours of travel each way} included some very puffy clouds–and also about 5 movies, lots of snacks and very little sleep.

It was wonderful to be home and be with the boys again. My energy level was pretty low–so the first couple days included a lot of snuggling and laying around.

We were watching Peter Pan a few evenings ago, and David sat next to Matthias and put his hand on his leg. Their relationship is different than most brothers, but sometimes I see a real connection, and it makes my heart full.

One of my favorite chores is dishes. I love how I can take something messy and in 10 minutes make it sparkle.

Erika, one of our longest employees, and a friend, made these seriously cute cupcakes on Valentine’s day. Some had ‘XO’ and some said ‘love’ in cursive. Adorable!

Also on valentine’s day, I walked down an alley and saw chalk hearts on a brick wall–which made me smile.

The trees are starting to blossom. It’s early and we’ve had a very warm winter. I love the tiny pink flowers.

I think bath time is one of David’s favorite things to do. He laughs and splashes and goes crazy.

Do you instagram? This weekend take a pic of your favorite piece from Lisa Leonard Designs on instagram and be entered to win a $100 gift card. Make sure to use hashtag #mylisaleonard. So fun!

We are headed to Fresno to visit family and friends this weekend. I am hoping to get some good rest and put jet lag behind me. And next week is Blissdom! So I’ll be prepping for that as well. I’m bringing lots of fun, new things to the handmade market–so if you’re coming, please find me and say hi!

What are your plans for this weekend?

It’s Friday and I’m linking up cell phone pics from the week over at life rearranged. Join us!

I spruced up our mantel for Valentine’s day and added a little red here and there.

The family tree necklace is still one of my very favorites. Love.

This pic above was for the January/photo a day {which I’ve kinda flaked on}. The prompt was ‘shoes’. These boots were a Christmas gift from Steve.

We had one rainy day last week and otherwise we had temps around 70*. This has been such a strange winter in California!

Have I mentioned we have a problem with David breaking things? Over the last year he has broken a few lamps and our living room was getting to be like a cave. So when Target had a sale last week, we purchased these two lamps. I can’t believe how much life they add to the room!

Matthias is a kid who loves everything drawing, coloring, creating, and painting! Every time we are at Target he begs for new crayons. I love his creative masterpieces.

Monday night I met my sister in Santa Barbara for a getaway. And it was wonderful. Pretty much perfect. We finished it off with mexican food at Carlitos. Yep, pretty much perfect.

I did a little junking yesterday. I didn’t really buy anything, but it was so inspiring!

My friend Claire brought me tulips. Claire is our customer service supervisor and she is one of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met. {Love you Claire!}

Ahh, Ruby Rose. So much beauty in one place-it’s almost overwhelming.

This weekend is about cleaning, laundry and packing. Steve and I are heading to Thailand next week to visit some dear friends. And we are leaving the boys here. I am terrified and excited. It’s crazy!

What are your weekend plans?

It’s Friday {I am thrilled!} and I’m linking up with Jeannett at Life Rearranged to share cell phone pics from the week.Matthias’ birthday cake was super colorful and pretty yummy too!

Saturday mornings usually involve pancakes around here. Sometimes with blueberries and chocolate chips baked in, and bananas and syrup on top!

Sometimes an apron can come in very handy.

Left, Steve and I managed to squeeze in a date night last weekend and it was so fabulous! Right, Sunday was Matthias’ actual birthday. We went to CPK for lunch and then let him pick out books at Barnes and Noble. So fun.

David fell asleep in the car and Matthias held his hand. And my heart melted.

My friend Brenda surprised me with flowers this week. I felt so loved!

This feather chandelier at Sally Loo’s caught my eye. Isn’t it adorable?

Mmmm, coffee really makes mornings better.

A very chilly winter afternoon and some birdies hanging around.

David’s new favorite activity is to dump all the crayons out of the box. It’s a pain to clean up, but it’s a colorful mess.

This weekend is mellow—which is just what we need! What are your weekend plans?

I am so glad it’s Friday! I’m linking up my photos from the week with Jeannett at Life Rearranged. Join us!I was about to take a simple picture of the sky when this bluebird hopped into the shot. I was so pleasantly surprised!

Sometimes even dirty dishes in the sink can catch my eye. I love this color combination.

The other day, David decided he was in no hurry to get up. I think he slept until almost 9am. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

Part of the January photo a day challenge on instagram–routines. I just love David’s silly smile. And he sure loves bathtime!

We had a pulmonology appointment for David at UCLA on Monday. Then we spent a couple hours at Universal Studios. Matthias couldn’t wait to get cotton candy.

David sure loves his daddy. And his daddy loves him right back.

I came across this photo of the boys the other day and my heart melted. They were so tiny! We were at a pumpkin patch. David was 2 years old and Matthias was about 10 months. Crazy!

Nothing wrong with polka dots and red shoes.

The nights have been super cold, followed by foggy mornings and then sunshine breaking through. It makes everything look kind of magical.

To celebrate Matthias’ birthday with his class we dipped oreos in frosting {I used blue food coloring} and added a few sprinkles. Way easier than cupcakes and super yummy!

We are celebrating Matthias’ birthday with a few friends this evening and then we are ready for the weekend–and some relaxing. I’m hoping to spend some time creating and some time organizing. What are your weekend plans?

It’s Friday {Thank God! After our first week back at school, we are ready for a couple down days.}  I’m linking up with Jeannett at Life Rearranged to share cell phone pics from the week. Join us!

I haven’t shared my cell phone pics for a couple weeks, so there are a quite a few.

I visited slo donut company {slo do co to the locals} a couple weeks ago with friends and all our kiddos. It was a hit–love it!

Matthias was gifted a journal and awesome colored pencils from our friend Jimmy. When we got on the plane to Omaha, he immediately got to work.

David loved the Omaha zoo. We all did! Plus some good daddy snuggles are always welcome.

I’ve been practicing capturing bokeh with my cell phone. I hold my hand in front of the camera and focus there–and then move my hand right before I snap the pic. It takes some practice–but the results are so fun.

We visited the Stategic Air Command Museum in Omaha. My favorite part? The snickers ice cream bar from the snack bar. But the planes were super cool too!

A gorgeous sunset in Omaha.

Aunties came to visit for New Year’s weekend and David was quite content to snuggle up as soon as possible.

We had dinner at the Apple Farm and it was delicious and so Christmas-y {or New Years-y}

We introduced our friend Ingrid to bubble gum alley in downtown San Luis Obispo. So disgusting, yet so intriguing.

I make breakfast most mornings–pancakes, waffles, eggs or cinnamon rolls. But sometimes we just have good old fashion cold cereal. And it’s so yum.

I used these paint brushes to create birthday party invites for Matthias’ birthday. More on that soon!

If you’re on instagram, you’ve probably seen {or you’re participating in} the January photo a day challenge. For day one the challenge was to take a pic of what you had for breakfast. We had chocolate chip pancakes. Love.

Day two of the challenge–something you adore. This is my grandmother’s locket, inside is a photo of my grandfather {he died before I was born}. So special.

The sunsets lately have been spectacular. This photo doesn’t even do it justice.  The sky was all shades of pink and coral.

Yesterday’s photo challenge was to take a pic of something you wore. And this was my outfit.

Phew! That’s the update from my cell phone. This weekend involves some downtime and hopefully getting the upstairs cleaned and organized. Sunday we are heading to LA for a doctor visit for David at UCLA.

What are your weekend plans?

i’m linking up with jeannett from life rearranged to share phone pics from the week. join us!

This week Steve and I hung out in Matthias’ classroom. He read ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ and then we painted clay ornaments I had made. Steve is a really good reader. When I read to the boys they say, ‘you’re not doing it right’.  So I leave the reading to Steve. We had a great time in the classroom and the kids loved it.

I loved the kids’ creativity and how they took the ornaments from plaint to spectacular!

We’ve had some rain this week which means we can pull out our boots. I die over David’s new boots. So tiny and cute!

I love the rain, especially when I’m inside with a cozy blanket and fire.

Getting ready for our LLD Christmas party. It was so fun!

To get my iphone to take a blurry pic, my friend Christan {also our business manager} held up his hand in the foreground and I focused on it. Then he moved his hand right before I snapped the pic.

Our neighbor’s home is completely covered in lights. Seriously this picture doesn’t even do it justice. It’s like a gingerbread house–crazy gingerbread!

These chips are so good. Thank you Chad for introducing me to them. Wait, no thank you–because I can’t stop! I blame you, Chad!

Last night’s twilight was magical. It rained on and off yesterday and there was such a beautiful yellow glow.

This weekend we head to Southern California to see family and celebrate and early Christmas! We can’t wait! What are your weekend plans?

this week was pretty crazy. david got sick–really sick. then i got sick. and just when i thought we were on the other side, matthias got it. then steve. crazy! so we spent a lot of time at home, curled up in blankets and watching all the narnia movies.

which is kinda nice in a way. now we are back on our feet and ready for a long weekend. here are some pics from my phone…

1 all my boys chilling on the couch–this is how we roll.

2 gorgeous flowers from our friend {and customer service supervisor} claire. they’ve made me happy all day for many days. so thoughtful.

5 since we were sick, we’ve been washing everything–towels, blankets, and hands. and david loves to wash his hands.

6 matthias’ creativity at work–he named this monster inside out. it’s creepy and cool at the same time.

November 4th | instagram

it’s friday and i’m sharing my cell phone pics from the week! link up with us over at life rearranged.

i grabbed a quick lunch with my dear friend {and one of our managers} marijke at a new sushi place on higuera. it’s raku and it was delicious!

someone drew a chalk heart on a brick wall–i’m pretty sure they did it just to brighten my day.

matthias is a book-lover. we spend a decent amount of time browsing at barnes and noble.

we like to call this the ‘less easy’ way to climb the stairs. not sure what david was tying to accomplish but don’t worry, i rescued him.

our pewter heart bowl is sitting on my desk in the workshop. and i’ve been reflecting about how much rest and alone time help my soul to love better. seems simple, but i need lots of reminders.

ben 10 and a knight showed up for halloween. and we had a blast!

red shoes adding a little fun to my day. love.

i got to share a piece of pumpkin pie with chrissie yesterday. pretty much the best day ever. i love that girl.

our weekend is super mellow. david is sick with the flu–which means we’ll be home. and i’ll be praying no one else gets it! what are your weekend plans?
