store bought ice cream sandwiches made SPECIAL!
idea i’m most likely to try this week? either the kraft paper tablecloth with hand-drawn placemats or the ice cream sandwiches with colorful sprinkles. how about you?

I love the ice cream sandwiches… i’ve been thinking of cake ideas for my son’s birthday, and these just put a different spin on things… what a perfect treat for a hot summer day. i may just have to ex out the cake and go straight for the ice cream!

LOVE the silver in the planter pots! I’ve got 3 incomplete sets of mismatched heirloom silver from DH’s family. Cleaned up and sorted into colorful pots they would look great on the table and could be stored AND used from there. Why have it if we aren’t using it? Brilliant idea!
Great reminder it’s also time to stock up on bubble soap and sidewalk chalk…. Happy Spring!

Where do you find big enough brown paper? Love that idea…and I may even be crazy enough to have it out for Easter. {It’s just our family of 5 eating together so its comfortable and this would be fun to write a little bible verse on by each place setting etc..}

Yes I’m going with the ice cream sandwiches!
I do the ice cream sandwiches with sprinkles for EVERY birthday. Easier & more fun than dipping out ice cream with cake. I also add a “sugar image”(you know those things that go on top of cakes/cupcakes for birthdays) by putting a dab of icing in the center. So easy & everyone is always so impressed.
