  1. I haven’t read your blog in a while, but every time I do, I find some coincidence. This time is was where your conference was. I was there (the SAME resort) 2 years ago for the Hydrocephalus Conference. This is the condition that my teenage daughter has that has required her to undergo so many brain surgeries. It is a beautiful to place for a conference! This year it was in Cleveland (not so beautiful, but a lot of fun for my daughter). Anyway, just tried to catch up on your blog and wondering when your little guy’s surgery is scheduled and if you’re gearing up for that soon. Looks like all is well and busy as usual!

  2. Well, considering that a certain movie is coming out this week, and a certain friend and I get to spend practically the whole night together talking, laughing, and making fun of some of the ultimate fans that will surely be in attendance at said movie, I think this week is gonna ROCK!

  3. Today was a beautiful and warm day at the zoo! Now, a cool front has moved in, just in time for the start of swimming lessons tomorrow! Brrrr. 4 weeks of lessons in an outdoor pool – hope it gets (and stays) above 80! This week also brings: piano lessons, library trip, gymnastics, making some Homemade Chinese Takeout with my girls, and hopefully getting the last of the “first week of summer cleaning list” crossed off – two weeks late.

Enjoy your company and your new surroundings!

  4. We are in mid-winter here and I had planned to garden all week.. but major discovery.. the soil is way too boggy.. darn!! Getting ready for my Mum’s visit. She hasn’t been here for 3.5 years!! Bless her heart, she’s now almost 83 and doesn’t enjoy travelling so I feel very happy she is making the effort to come and see me. My hubby is overseas at the moment so it will be good to have her company.. errrmmm for around 2 days!! (she’s staying 8). I love her so dearly but you know how it can be with mother’s and daughters.. sigh… I never seem to do anything quite the right way in her eyes.. but that’s because I’m ME… and I love me.. Giggle.. here’s hoping I can remember how much, when she’s here.

  5. Tomorrow (June 29th) will be my son’s 4th birthday! We finish the week off with his 4 year check-up, priming, painting in the laundry closet. Outside time at the water fountains, and good old fashioned family time. 🙂

  6. my kids are under quarantine for some odd illness called “herp angina,” ick! And it’s our first full week of summer vacation (my husband and I are teachers)…bummer!! Trying to pretend we are at a condo in Hawaii, minus the beach….not working so well!

  7. this week i’m going to be pulling up my “big girl business pants” (for the Nth time) as i continue to tackle all the necessary phone calls/interviewing/planning. :] thanks for being such an encourager. love you!
