  1. Hi Lisa,
I got to your blog from Beneath My Heart and was thinking, “Hey, I know a Lisa Leonard.” And here you are! You have done a fabulous job with your blog and your jewelry (and your cute outfits!). You go, girl!

    Tell Steve hello.

  2. i love the golden goodness in this. my eye is always drawn to birds on a wire. nice shot.
enjoy your beautiful weather. it’s chilly and wet here. blahhh. although i did see a really pretty sunrise this morning. thankful for little things. : )

  3. This weekend flew by – went to Niagara Falls overnight to celebrate my F-I-L’s 70th birthday then had friends over to watch the SuperBowl. Looking forward to a quiet week!

  4. Hi Lisa
This is not about my weekend though here in Sydney we have had a heat wave in the midst of all the flooding in the regional surrounding areas. I live on the Nthn Beaches. I was keen to order your ring with my childrens names for my husband but was unable to with the options in your checkout.

can you contact me about how i may order one from you, i dont mind paying the postage to Sydney Australia.
thanks and i love your blogs and your products…xx
    Sandy

  5. Nothing at all to do with this post…just a connection. I’ve been reading about David. My son, the oldest of five, Erik, died in 2005. More importantly, he lived. For 28 years he lived as fully as he could, and his life changed everyone he met. I’ve written about him on my blog-alas, mine is not as carefully as yours so I have been known to repost. One I think says it all is “What If…”. I think it may resonate with you.
I miss him every single day-we all do, but with the passage of time, we remember the moments, his joy, his spirit. He has forever changed the person I am and helped create the most wonderful, compassionate family in the world. I am blessed. Though your days may be difficult and long, the journey difficult, your walk is one some can understand, but few can appreciate. God gave you this son not because of sin but because of LOVE!

  6. lisa! i went to ruby rose’s! i was in heavvvvvvvven. like a little kid in a candy shop. they were closing in 15 minutes but i pranced around that place like crazy. i can’t wait to go back. i only bought 2 things but i could have bought the whole store.

  7. I thought it was going to be fun… till we found out my son has the flu AND strep throat… talk about a double whammy!! So instead we’ve been watching movies & eating homemade brownies. Not so bad after all. 🙂

  8. had our niece here for the weekend – she babysat so we could have date night last night. today will be errands (target, grocery) and catch up on laundry to get the work week started on the right foot. 35 degrees here in Ohio. too cold for outdoor fun! : (

  9. Hi Lisa!

I hope you’re enjoying you weekend with your boys! 🙂

I wanted to ask, I was reading some of your posts in the “Photography” topic and you mentioned that you carry your camera with you wherever you go. I’m thinking of doing the same to capture random/daily events. My question is, do you carry it in a separate bag, in your purse or on it’s own just by the strap?

I’m really trying to get into photography this year instead of letting my Nikon just sit around at home. So I really hope you get the chance to answer this question.

    Thanks! 🙂

  10. This weekend has involved the treat of the show “Who Do You Think You Are” being back on (yay!!), finally finishing “Avatar,” a few baking deliveries for my business, a surprise “we have just bought two new leather chairs!!” for my hubby and I, taking my kindergarten daughter and her cousin to see the play “Alice in Wonderland,” having my parents over for dinner (didn’t go well), watching “Shaun the Sheep” with said daughter, grading final exams, and baking a “touchdown” cake for the Super Bowl.

I am looking at this list thinking, “TOOOOOO much going on, Kelli!!!”

Enjoy your thrifting and warm weather, Lisa!!

  11. Birthday celebration for my mother-in-law this weekend.
Then in the next two weeks my mama, my daughter and my son. February is all about birthdays in our family.

Hope David gets well quick. We have the cold turns bronchitis thing going on around these parts, too.

  12. Glad to hear David is getting better. Sounds like a lovely weekend for you – I certainly envy your warm weather! It’s cold and snowing here in Pennsylvania! My hunny was nice enough to clean the whole house Friday when he was off work, so we’re looking forward to a relaxing weekend with no household chores! 🙂

  13. For Women Only (like HUG in SLO), shopping for a shredder and a file cabinet of some sort and the SUPER BOWL!!! If I can get a ride or if Dan takes the day off, we may go to the church for the Super Bowl bash. They have two screens, $1 hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and a bounce house for the younger kids. From what I’ve heard, there’s a good crowd. Hope I/we make it.

  14. Hi Lisa, my weekend has been spent TRYING to keep cool. The temperature has been in the early thirty’s (that’s in the 90 degrees F for you guys). I just melt in hot weather and am no good to anyone, not even myself! I loathe that I cannot garden in this weather when there is so much that needs doing. Also my studio gets way too hot to craft in too. The sky is a beautiful shade of blue though! xxx

  15. Lots of time on the couch with my sick hubby, probably a trip to the health food store, and dunno what else. Can’t believe you’re hitting 70 degrees while we’re stuck under 16″ of snow! You lucky duck! 🙂

  16. rest and recovery from the flu and taking care of my oldest who is a little ill herself. enjoying some time to just relax for a while. been a long time coming. so nice seeing you at blissdom.

  17. I will be spending most of the day sitting on the couch nursing my 9 day old daughter. While I watch my 5 and 3 year old destroy the house! Love it!

  18. Just spent 2 hours on the phone with my sister who only lives 15 minutes away but I rarely see. Craft shopping for 2 school projects due next week and chillaxin watching football tomorrow. Happy Saturday everyone!

  19. saturdays i spent 2 hours calling our families that are in the hospice i volunteer for. i love calling these families, they are an inspiration to me. plus a friend just called so i will be going on a surprise trip to target! praying that the meds work quickly for david. and that matthias has a great time at the party. it’s truly a blessing that we have washers and dryers to “do” our laundry for us. better than beating it on a rock!! :^)

  20. i am planning to clean my sewing room. it’s such a disaster, and i’m inspired to get it sparkling, so when i start the indie business class it’s all ready for the mess of my creativity! oh, and my kitchen has been half painted for a {really} long time!! i could do that too!
