hello monday {fresh picked oranges}

Hello monday! the weather is supposed to be beautiful this week–and it’s making me long for summer! We have a thriving orange tree in our backyard {despite our lack of attention to it} and we are enjoying going back there to pick fruit every few days. Here are some hellos for a brand new week.

  1. Love the orange and turquoise lisa!

    This week I am saying hello to a rain-free forecast (!!), biking to work, and my older daughter’s 7th birthday. This week, it’s going to be all about her!

  2. Those oranges do look delicious! For sweet David, how about painting with pudding or shaving cream? My little guy loves when I take a serving tray and put a pile of shaving cream on it for him to draw and smoosh and create. 🙂

  3. My boys are SO busy to…it is quite the challenge. You’re not alone! We have a play tent ($20 at BB&B) that came with a tunnel. Someitmes just letting them crawl in and out and play with their regular toys inside their “dragon cave” adds a new dimension and helps them play better/longer.

    Would love to see a post on keeping little busy boys engaged/entertained in easy, low-cost ways if you get some other good ideas! (My boys are almost 2 and 3)

  4. Happy Monday. Sounds like you have a fun week ahead. My little ones are always calmer when they get daily dirt time. I don’t know if it’s the vitamin D from the sunshine or if working with their hands in the dirt is theraputic. Hmmm…maybe I need to join in more.

  5. Hello Mother’s Day gift with my kindergarteners! Hello to holding my friends new daughter, baby bliss!
    And hello to a food and flower filled last week!

    And I wear a fetching leopard print pencil skirt (jcrew), turns out its super versatile!!! Last week with Sperry’s , tee shirt and jean jacket!

  6. My busy boy loves to play at his water table! And with it being a warmer week maybe it will be something your son will enjoy. He also enjoys our rice table, I hide little toys in it or puzzle pieces for him to find. Hello keeping busy hands…busy!!
