after a rushed, crazy morning

I wanted to take a moment to connect with Matty. As I was drove him to preschool I looked in the rear view mirror and said, “Matty I love you (pause) times a million. He looked up at me and with a very serious look on his face replied, “Mommy, I love you, too (pause) times A LOT”. Hmmm, he melts my heart.

  1. Aww – such sweetness! My Girl (4) will say “I love you all around the world and back!” when she’s feeling lovey-dovey. =)

  2. So sweet! In our house, its “to the moon and back”. How many times? The person who says “infinity” is the one who wins!

  3. You are such a great mom! My son responded one time, “I love you all the way to the moon” and I said, “I love you past that” and I think it continues to this day! Now it’s “I love you infinity!” He’s going to make someone a wonderful husband! (both your son and mine!)

  4. Isn;t being a mother the most amazing job that was ever created? I love moments like this. My little man cannot even talk yet, but I can’t wait!

  5. That’s something you can always treasure in your heart! I remember when my younger son signed to me for the first time after struggling to figure it out how to say, “I LOVE YOU” in front of two teachers. From then, he does that to me a lot. My older son sometimes does out of blue such as when I’m relaxing a little bit with a book, he would come up to me saying, “Mommy, I love you whole wide world! “See” it s something we will always remember the word we wanted to hear.

  6. How very cute! Even after mornings when I am rushing and grumbling and sometimes yelling at everyone to get out the door, Ethan will say to me “Mommy, I love you” from the back seat and my heart melts. And suddenly it doesn’t matter to me if I am late to work. I just smile.

  7. so sweet matty! you know the words your mama needs to hear! gracie likes to say, “i love you so much i can’t even tell (or say, or see)!”
