4 styles on everyday or how to wear a scarf DIY

i wear a scarf almost everyday.  lately i’ve been wearing scarves in more of a ‘tube’ style.  if you’re a knitter, then you can just knit them that way (lucky!) but if you’re like me you have to get a little creative.

this is the scarf i wore today.  this amazing lady made it.  and the clip is from anthro.  i bought a few for christmas gifts and accidentally got one for myself (whoops!).  i’m also loving these clipped to a scarf.

  1. i am addicted to scarves. i have worn one every day for the past… i lost track. and lucky me~i got 6 new ones for christmas! at least it is better than being addicted to crack…

  2. I love scarves…They keep you so snuggly and warm…I fold mine in half and then pull it through the loop…it ties just right!

  3. ok i love scarves too but i have things working against me like i live in South Texas, i am short AND busty so i dont know if they work for me but i do wear them…not getting what yall are saying about the tube thing. you pin the ends together with a safety pin to make it doubled and THEN wrap it around your neck.

i did score some CUTE flower pins at that mall store NY&C0 not long ago.very cute on sweaters and scarfs..very anthro looking but cheap!

    MORE SCARF LESSONS PLEASE;;;;;

  4. Thank you so much! I’d been drawing a blank on what to get for our annual gift exchange at work. I found a beautiful scarf at Target that was marked down to $11.88 and a gorgeous pin on sale at JCPenney, and whoala! Gift exchange gift! Under $20 as required and SO, SO pretty!! Merry Christmas!

  5. Love scarves, think they look so good but they irritate my neck. I love your idea of pinning it like a tube, brilliant!!!!

  6. I am a knitter and my favorite thing to knit is scarves. Right now I’m doing a ruffle scarf out of a blue cotton yarn. If you like the tube style you should check out a mobius scarf. I knitted one and a hat. Very cool story that goes with it.

  7. Hey Lisa! I was just wondering if you had announced the winner of the gift certificate yet and I missed it? Love the scarf idea! I am totally going to steal it! 🙂 You are adorable!

  8. Lisa do you know that Target sells tube scarves!!!! They are called the “infinity” scarf, they come in several colors and they are wonderful. Happy Wednesday to you!!

  9. Just found you. So glad I did. Love your jewelry and your blog. Beautiful photos of your family.

I will be back again. Have a beautiful Christmas!!

  10. You are adorable! Love scarves! And this idea! I usually wear my in kind of a knot – its hard to explain – but I wrap it around my neck – with the two long ends hanging down – then tuck one under the loop around my neck – take the other long piece and pull it through that one — it comes out with a flat knot – but still warm around my neck with the long pieces hanging down. I know this doesn’t make sense – my friend had to show it to me several times in person before I got how to do it!!

    Yes, make a scraf pin!!!

    Have a great day!

  11. LOVE Scarves. My hubby kind of freaks out every time I come home with a new one. He doesn’t understand my need. LOL. I like to have them drape down. Just fold scarf in half then loop the end through the opening and viola!

  12. I’m a looper… But I get the big shawl scarves and drape and drape… It’s like a little blanket! And, if you get cold, with the wider ones, you can just stretch it to it’s full width and snuggle up in it!

  13. Maybe you, being the stunning designer you are, should make a fabulous scarf pin?????

Love the look you have going with that scarf.

  14. I love scarves. I am like you and like them wrapped around my neck a few times but never thought of doing it your way. I just wrap it around my neck, Love the flower idea too. I bet a sparkly Christmas pin would look great now
    have a great weekend Lisa

  15. I too love scarves — thanks for sharing this great idea of how to wear them. I’ve been enjoying wearing a new fleece one folded in half and then the two ends pulled together through the looped end. It keeps me toasty, so I can leave the thermostat just a bit lower!

  16. Yes! Scarves … today and everyday! C’est vraiment Francais!
I used to chide myself for not liking to knit, but everyone in my world is better off if I don’t do it since it frustrates me to no end. My mother-in-law knits in her sleep, never drops stitches, and turns out gorgeous scarves … not me. I’m happy wearing other people’s creations.
    Love your pin …

  17. I am also a scarf addict! I want to learn to crochet just so I can make scarves! A new mission! Yeah! Also love the idea of the broach! Very beautiful!

  18. Oh I love scarves too! My eyes zeroed in on this post….lol!! I crochet and have made alot of scarves, scarflettes, neckwarmers. In fact I am taking a wee break from working on one now!
Love the brooch idea and there are so many pretty ways to wear these wonderful accessories!
    Thanks Lisa for sharing this:)

  19. Just stopping to say “hi” and tell you how much I enjoy your lovely blog. You are very inspirational and your family seems very sweet. Take care and all the best to you and your family during the holiday season and always!

  20. I love it!

I don’t wear them that often being as it’s florida and was 80 today on december 15th.

i wore one ice skating the other day to feel more festively wintery though. I can’t describe how i wear it, i just fold it in half and then pull the end through and drape it. There are pics on my blog of me wearing it that you can see. I will have to try your way, it looks really pretty!

  21. LOVE it! I wear a scarf every day. I usually leave it on throughout the day, even at work. I love the idea of putting a brooch or flower or something t spice it up. I’m trying that tomorrow!
