  1. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you are doing. Our daughter was 4 when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Those beginning days were pretty tough. She is almost 17 now and we all have learned so much through this journey. I pray that one day there will be a “cure” or at least a means to prevent type 1. Thank you for your contribution, this is a very personal place in my heart.
    Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne

  2. Thank you so much! My son was 4 at diagnosis and now 16. I cannot believe all the years of finger sticks and insulin shots and trying to find something he would eat when we were out somewhere. We love that you have this necklace to draw attention to something that no small child should have to do every time they want to eat, play, sleep, go to school, dance, run, shall I continue? This is a family disease – just as your lovely son is a family guy. You are wonderful!!

  3. Oh wow, that is great, and what a beautiful necklace!! Such a great cause. And I can’t believe we’re already creeping… well not really creeping, more like flying… into December!

  4. Thank you so much helping fund research for a cure for diabetes. My precious daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 when she was 2. She is now 14. Diabetes is hard–many times the only thing I can do is “be still” and wait when she is not feeling well and we are waiting for the sugar to kick in and bring her blood sugar up or when we are waiting for the insulin to bring her blood sugar down. The necklace is beautiful!

  5. my sweet baby Jackson, who will be 7 on Tuesday, was diagnosed with type 1 at 27 months. So many times I have been led to this scripture. Be still and KNOW. When we are frantic in the middle of the night b/c he is low and feeling so bad, when he is high and his body is so very sick, when I don’t think I could see one more number that reminds me of a blood sugar, the Lord tells me to “be still.” I am reminded God has much bigger plans for him than I could have ever imagined for him and diabetes is part of that too. Your necklace couldn’t be more perfect for our situation and the fact that more money is going to research to find his cure! thanks so much!

  6. Hi Lisa,
this is great ! My son was diagnosed with Type 1 at the age of 18 months. He just turned 17 !
Thanks for supporting our cause. Great strides have been made in this area. We are hoping for a cure in his lifetime. Many days are challenging especially because he is a teenager and he is driving.
    Pray for me.

  7. Ahh, a cause close to my own heart! I’m a healthy 35-year old mother of three beautiful kids and I’ve also been a Type I diabetic for 34 years. My diagnosis came when I was 16-months old…things were very different back then! Thanks for helping with this cause!

  8. Your craftsmanship is so beautiful. I especially love your Fly Free necklace design. I read about you through ( Oh, hell friend ), noticing your part of the weekly giveaway! I think what’s especially great about your designs is that I can tell you put a lot of heart and it adds meaning into each design.

  9. As a type 1 diabetic I am excited to see this partnership. Plus, this is my favorite necklace of yours so it equals double excitement! I will have to add it to my “hope I get it for Christmas” list! Thanks for the support.

  10. I’ve never met you, but for some reason am so doggoned proud of the work you do and the exposure you get!
My dad has diabetes and since Mom just asked me what I would like for Christmas, I’ll think I’ll send her this link!

  11. I just want to thank you for the wonderful designs you create and the inspirational blog you write. I’ll be giving the necklace your making to my mother who is a fantastic Nana to my two girls Quinn and Logan. The girls also have my two amazing sisters as godmothers, Quinn calls them “the gods” for short … and they are. They shower the girls with the special love only your aunts can give. I’m just so pleased to have found such perfect gifts.

Thank you … Thank you … Thank you !!!

  12. I agree – how can it be Thursday – the 3rd of December ALREADY!!!!!!

I am trying so hard to not be pressured and overwhelmed by all the Holiday stuff – I want to enjoy it all – the shopping, the decorating even the lines!! Maybe I need the “be still” necklace to reinforce that!!

Loving my pieces I got from you a few weeks ago – similar to “we are what we eat” I think “we radiate what we wear” – I hope I am radiating my necklaces Amazing Grace & love!!

Have fun tonight, hope you sell lots of pieces and wish I lived closer so I could be there!
