the light was so beautiful this morning.  i pulled the car over on the way to church and snapped a few pics.  the ground was dewy and everything was glowing.  i could have taken a lot more pics, but i didn’t want to be later than we usually are!

  21. hey marci! i think the 18-55 lens is a great everyday lens. you can get tons of detail with an up-close shot or good clarity from a distance. the 18-105 will basically let you zoom twice as far as the 18-55. you’ll want to make sure the settings on your camera are set up the way you want. i watched an awesome, simple video that taught me tons about using my camera. did your camera come with a video? i’m an amateur and i take lots of pics–but i really don’t know much.

  22. Hi Lisa,

I was just going to ask the same thing. I have the same camera you have and first, I’m not as talented as you are :-). Also, I think that the 18-55mm is a little limited (a non-professional opinion here). Maybe it’s time for me to try a different lens or play with my camera more.

Any advice? How did you get started with your camera? I love the horse picture. Absolutely beautiful!

  23. Hi Lisa,
I have followed your blog for some time now and love it! I am always inspired by your photos and jewelry. I just purchased my first DSL-R with the same lens and can’t wait for it to arrive! Thanks for posting such amazing images.
