what’s inspiring you today?

Well, I can’t say my home is inspired in any way to be cleaner or better decorated today… but the photos were a beautiful distraction! Somehow, the happenings around here are leading to the opposite of those pretty, orderly, everything-in-it’s-place just perfectly so photos! LOL
We were given the role of emergency foster-parents to the oldest sister of the young child we were trying to adopt. The young child has recently been placed with another family, we’re thrilled for her, but we can’t help but be very concerned for the oldest (she’s 12) who has completely gone out of control in the last few months leading up to this.
So, on this Mother’s Day, our house has grown unexpectedly from 3 kids to 4, and while we were adoption-ready for a girl 4-8, it seems as though God may be asking us for much, much more. What inspires us? God, the only One capable of being sufficient in times like these. He inspires me to get up each morning and respond to the world’s circumstances with love.
After all, love inspires love, does it not?

Love the rocks.. They are awesome…
I love the letters wrapped in yarn because I know this is a simple task I could do. Thanks!!
Beautiful weather, beautiful children (my 3 boys) and my beautiful Family Tree necklace they purchased for me from you. I love, love, love it!!! Happy Mother’s Day!
I love the idea of painting the inside of the door too! Hope you had a wonderful mother’s day
(PS I totally used your bouquet DIY for mother’s day and featured you in my blog!)
Thinking about those yarn letters! Cute! Hope you had a wonderful day
That first pic is very inspiring!!
Love the white walls, splash of turquoise on the door and the touches of red. All so perfect!!
Somehow my house never looks anything like that and I really need some inspiration to make it look more like that on the cheap. (throw in 4 kids and well….tricky!)
I have just brought some new red cushions to add a touch of red and am on the look out for a nice throw for the couch.
Some red roses from my garden are also a nice splash of red in this Aussie autumn weather.
I love the yarn letters and the alphabet stones…I don’t know what it is about me and the abc’s…(I do work in a library..:) )Everytime I see letters…or abc posters…I kind of want them….so far I’ve kept the urge to buy them all under control…haha
love the yarn letter idea – might have to try that. and wouldn’t even need to use wooden letters – you could buy those thick cardboard type, that would be so much cheaper. great ideas!
