Oh.my.gosh. Those newspaper hearts are killing me! I might not be able to wait until next Valentine’s. They could be fun summery banner, right?:)
I think I’m going to make a heart banner with some hanging bud vases. Hearts are definately an anytime sort of thing
my goodness! i love these old couple!!!
They’re lovely!!! great!!!
Those paint cards are adorable and soooo easy to make. Not to mention they serve a purpose–no more fumbling with silverware in line at my summer cookouts! See you soon, Home Depot!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the painted cans!!! i rarely have cans – but i think i’ll have to find some friends who will save them for me! how cute on the patio table with slverware, napkins, veggies – anything in them!! thanks for sharing. my grandson has just learned to ride his bike without training wheels – i told him to ride all over the front yard – and kill the weeds!! so i won’t have to hula hoe them.!
Yes to all of the above! What wonderful photos.
wow, i love the paint sample utensil holder! that is very clever, indeed!
great inspiration!
I agree….not as old as that couple, but it certainly does get better with age.
I LOVE the old couple…especially with their message, the newspaper hearts and the cans! Great fun and cheap ideas!
LOVE the painted cans! I was just getting ready to buy some small planters for my front window…but now I’m just going to dig a few cans out of the recycle bin and paint them. Thanks
I found the hearts cut out of paint swatches, then strung together for bunting…SOOO cute. I don’t think they care, they’re there to take.
)
I follow you on pinterest.
I adore that sweet older couple so much! I especially love the chalkboard. And what a great way to recycle cans!
Love the couple!:)
I saw those old couple pictures earlier this week, they are so adorable! I’m going to set up a pinterest account now!
I was going to spraypaint cans too for some of my teacher friends and my son’s teachers for National Teacher Day tomorrow but instead I have been wrapping them with yarn! I got that idea from a site linked to yours. My son picked out the flowers for the inside and I took a picture of him with a sign that says, “Happy Teacher’s Day” that we are going to clothes pin to each can.
Oh…I kept thinking “this is my favorite photo” and then Id look at the next and think the very same thing all over again:) Love that elderly couple! So sweet:)
Have a wonderful Monday!
XO,
Sarah

Home Depot is definitely watching me! I saw the Easter egg banner made from paint chip samples on Pinterest. I went to Home Depot and picked up about 30 – 40 cards. I felt bad BUT, at what point are we actually doing something wrong? I wondered what they would say/do if I offered to buy them. I also thought about contacting the paint company directly and asking if I could buy a box of them. I would seriously do it if they weren’t too expensive. Then I could craft guilt-free! Anyone in?
