  1. Hello Lisa,

I have to say I am completely inspired by your blog! 🙂 I have my small business in my home; and seeing how you have a studio space outside of your house, has inspired me to get out, and treat this thing like a “real job”. I am on the hunt for a new space!! 🙂

  2. Such a fun video, thanks for sharing. 🙂
I’ve always thought you worked from home. It’s great to see your office is a reflection of your fashion sense and personality; creative, loving and personable.

  5. hi lisa,
well, my day starts about 5am. i get up and make hub’s breakfast and coffee. after he leaves for work i usually get check out flickr and check a couple of blogs. then i get my oldest daughter up for school, after taking her i wake the other 4 up and get our homeschool day started. from here each day is a little different depending on what we’ve got going on. weekends are simply beautiful around here. : )
sleeping in and pancakes (we usually try a different kind every couple of weeks). yummm.

  6. My day starts at 6am, get hubby’s b’fast & lunch ready. When he leaves at 6:15am I get coffee & get ready for my day. At 7am I wake the girls up, have b’fast with them and get them ready for school. We leave the house at 8am. After dropping them off to school I sometimes ran errands or go back home to feed & walk our Dacshund, Twilight. Then do some housekeeping & checking of emails & my fave blogs. By 2:45pm I fetch the kids from school then snacktime/playtime, homework, shower, dinner. Once they’re in bed, I do the laundry & watch a movie with hubby or read a book or be at the computer.

LOVE the peek at your work day. You are such an inspiration! Next, I’m curious about your process on your “what i wore wednesday” posts. Do you take self portraits or is someone helping you take the photos… what camera & lense are you using… that kind of stuff. 🙂

  7. Love the bracelet you are wearing in the video.

I wake up around 5:30 every weekday, get my kids to school, work, pick them up, do family stuff, work again in evening at home, bed, then do it all again. Saturday morning sleeping in is wonderful. 😉

  8. Love the videos and your office space- the perfect inspiring environment! My day begins at 6am. I get ready, get bags packed and loaded then wake up the baby and we head out the door. I drop him off at his Nanna’s house (I am so blessed that my mom keeps him for us during the day) and then make the hour commute to the office where I spent the day marketing major brands globally. Commute back home where normally my husband and the baby have dinner waiting! We spend the evening playing and reading stories. off to bed he goes while I work out, clean up, prepare for the next day!

  9. If I tried to draw that design on a board..it would be an abstract…haha. It was amazing to see you just draw it…so perfectly, so easily.
My day consists of going to work at the Library…where I work at the circulation desk 3 days a week and do Storytime with 3-6 year olds one day a week. Love the little ones…but also enjoy comparing notes about books and movies with the adult patrons.
This time of year the “snowbirds” are all in town (Melbourne Beach, Fl) so we will be very busy until around Easter time when the visitors head back north…to Canada, Michigan, Massachusetts, etc.

  10. Oh, how I love your office! I’m now working from home … so, my office also serves as the sometimes guest room AND room that EVERYTHING that doesn’t have a place gets put until we can find a place for it! 🙂

  11. That was fun to see! Of course I’m drooling over the beautiful CA sun. I’m a SAHM of 3 but they’re all in school now so my days have changed over the last 11 years. There’s lots of cleaning, laundry, cooking, running/training for upcoming races, and coffee once a week with other SAHM friends. It’s a good life and I wouldn’t change a thing! Wait, yes, I would change the weather because right now it’s 7 degrees and that’s about 70 degrees too cold! 🙂

  12. Hi Lisa!

I love these weekly videos – coming from a long time blog reader – it’s fun to put a voice to your words. You’re so cute! Your workspace is inspiring.

    Thanks for sharing!

  13. I get up at 6 am, before everyone else in my house (good sleepers!) and get ready for work. I walk to the high school where I teach 9th grade English, World Mythology, and Film Studies for 3 periods, then walk back home. I relieve the nanny, eat lunch with my two girlies, drop one off at afternoon kindergarten, and bring the other home to nap. Then I read one chapter of a book with some tea, pick up the house, check your blog :), return emails, prep dinner & clean the kitchen. Then little one gets up, Daddy and big sis return home from school (my husband is a teacher at her school – how cool is that?). We have dinner, play, clean up the play room, then it’s the bedtime rush. Finally, I clean up the house…again, then hopefully have a little time with hubby and get some grading done. Not bad, really!!

Is your office workspace located in town or near your home? It’s adorable!

  14. up @ around 4:30 to get myself ready, quiet time & coffee w/ my heavenly Father b4 getting everyone else up. Go to work & take my youngest w/ me. He’s in the 8th grade,( I am the school secretary) then it is back & forth from school to home to pick him up or drop him off for basketball practice, then back to the high school for the high schoolers game, then back home, laundry, bed, & in between all of the running, have conversations w/ the kiddos, & hubby, who by the way is a baptist preacher! lol so yes my cup runneth over & i know i blessed.

  15. love this!! My work day is filled with helping others fulfill their dreams of going to college. I love my job, but the best part of my day is coming home to my son and husband! 🙂

  17. my day starts at 3:45 when the alarm goes off to wake me in time to get a shower, have a little quiet time, and drive the 11-min. drive to my opening shift job at starbucks. i set up the pastry case, unpack any paper goods that arrived the night before, and begin the coffee brewing cycle.

i serve coffee, snag and bag pastries, heat up breakfast sandwiches, make coffee, make change, swipe credit and gift cards, make small talk, recall over 100 customers drinks and names from my memory, make lattes (why do so many people NOT like foam?!) and joke around with my coworkers.

6, 7, or 8 hours later, i go home smelling like coffee. i could smell like much worse.

  18. love it!! i was dying to see more….i am SO loving that necklace design. i hope it comes to fruitation. 🙂

  19. so fun! my day starts at 530- getting up and ready, getting kids ready (husband helps), pack lunches, drop kids at daycare and head to office-complete any open charts, email- 8-430 see patients (I am a PA in a pediatric office) pick up kids at daycare- home to dinner, tubbies, play and stories-kids to bed- pick up, laundry, house chores, blog- RELAX-then husband gets home- talk relax, bed.

  20. Cute. My workday consists of reading to Sean, Playing imagination games with Madi, rest, chores, dinner. Busy day. But I love it. Thanks for sharing your work day with us!

  21. looooooovvveee it!

and i love the bracelet you are wearing at the computer! one of your designs?

what do i do with my day?
i sit at the table with my girls – create lesson plans, monitoring their school work, reading Little Women to them. i taxi noah. i taxi girls. i clean, cook, manage budget. i mom. a lot of times it feels monotonous, but i know someday i will miss this monotony.

  22. Very cool…thanks for shariing! I love your videos. I work at a large University. After about a 25-minute drive, I treck across campus to my office at the Career Center. I sit in a very nice lttle office space with a door (no window), a pretty green plant and a lamp (among other things). I send lots of e-mails, update our web site, work with off-campus employers, go to meetings and meet with students about what they want to be when they grow up! I really love my job!

  23. Gorgeous. Love it. Loved a little glimpse into your creative world. I’m living an expat life at the moment, so my ‘real life’ has been put on hold. My current work day is the usual kid wrangling & home chores squeezed in around blog reading!! What a day!! ; )
