blazing a trail

I’ve picked up a couple blazers lately–but for some reason I don’t wear them. Maybe they feel too professional? So this week I wore both–I was determined to use these cute blazers and keep them fun and not stuffy! All the basics were the same–my have jeans and a basic tee. Easy!

I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration!

This floral blazer was a Target clearance find. It was $10–and it’s linen which is super fun for spring. Plus I love mixing beige and black–those are the easiest colors for me to work with, so it was a no brainer!

David kept jumping into the picture–and this one was too cute not to share. He wanted to give me kisses–and right after this picture he got me on the nose. Such a sweetheart. He melts me.

Did you see that the buckle cuffs are in stock? I LOVE them! Gorgeous.

And the memory keeper necklace is a have, too! So pretty and the mixed metals look awesome.

This second blazer was a thrift store find. It was $10–which is a bit more than I usually pay at the thrift store. But I loved the fit and it’s silk, so I splurged.

Outfit details: Floral blazer, Target. Black blazer, thrifted. Jeans, Big star via Zappos {I love these jeans–order your regular size!} Booties sandals, Target. Bag, Target. Tee, Target {I size up with these tees so they’re more drapey}. Buckle cuff, My shop. Memory keeper necklace, My shop.

Blazers are a great way to layer. I find myself using cardigans more often, but I want to put my blazers in the mix! Do you wear blazers?

  1. Girl you can rock ANY outfit; your smile is the perfect accessory besides your own jewellery creations!

  2. I Love those on you. I wear a cardigan almost daily…. Might need to switch it up a bit and try a blazer.

  3. Funny I buy things too and then wonder what to wear them with or if I really want to wear them. Usually turns out well once I actually do wear the item in question…just like your two cute blazers. (Then I/(you) think…”Why did I wait so long to wear this?”) 🙂

  4. I LOVE the look of a professional blazer paired with casual jeans. It’s one of my favorite looks! The Target blazer was a steal and SO nice!
