first what i wore wednesday of 2011 and i’m linking up with lindsey {click here to see her cute blog!} this was such a cozy outfit for a cold day! wool, navy dress, and gray scarf, anthro. jean jacket, gap. black boots, thrifted {ruby rose}
and this outfit was so fun and easy. lacey sweater, scarf, boots, anthro. jeans, banana republic. black jersey tunic, target.
ok, here’s our question for this week’s wiww…it’s date night and your turn to chose where to go. will it be dinner at your favorite local mexican restaurant in jeans, boots and a cute sweater OR dinner at the upscale organic cafe in a vintage dress and heels??

I’d pick the local favorite in jeans, boots and cute sweater, have fun on your date night!
Those black boots were thrifted? They look in perfect condition!
I would go for the Mexican restaurant in jeans and boots.
Mexican resturant in jeans for sure!
Cute outfits! Love the scarf too
I would pick the upscale organic cafe with the vintage dress, just because not everyone gets to dress up all the time and eat out at the upscale joints a lot. Well, I don’t… Have fun on date night
I am always awed by your scarves. They just look so perfect with anything you pair them with.
I would definitely be going to that organic place sporting a cute dress and low heels…but mmmmm Mexican is tempting.
lisa, you are so classy and pretty and your scarf collection is fantastic. aaand i love your hair.
cafe ~ vintage dress/heels and a sweet vintage brooch to top it off.
love your style!
Whereever I go I’d rather wear my jeans and sweater
Love your tan boots!!
I’d dress up a bit and go somewhere fancier also because I never get to and my hubby doesn’t like to dress up:(
Love, love, love your style and these What I Wore Wednesday posts. I’ve stolen several of your looks when I can recreate them.
Oh, and to answer your question — Mexican!
I chose the vintage dress and heels….but at the Mexican restaurant! I love mexican food!
Answer: Jeans for sure! I adore your style and as soon as I get back on Weight Watchers…I’m going to copy you. Copying is still the highest form of flattery, right?!
LOVE your outfits!! I’d go with the jeans and heels, but for WIWW sake…I’d love to see the dress and heels on you too
I say go with the jeans for a lunch with a friend and the dress for the dinner date.
LOVE your style!! Keep them coming.
I second Paige .. I can’t turn down Mexican food, but who could turn down a vintage dress either?!
Mexican and boots. Stole your dress over jeans and boots this week!!
i’d go upscale only due to the fact that normally my 7 days of *real * life is very low scale so a change would be romantic…hmm
Mexican food casual. No pressure and can just run and leave the kids without much planning. Those dates are usually the best!
I saw that ruffly sweater at Anthro and immediately thought of you! I also tried the hand tucking hair pose, channeling my inner Lisa Leonard….only because I had a red + white bandaid on my finger and my husband said, “hey can you hide that?”. haha.
Love this week’s outfits! That wool dress is to die for with the skirt details.
Mexican food & casual clothes all the way. Too bad the mexican food here is terrible! Your outfits are great as usual!
I saw that lacy sweater at Anthro yesterday! Love it!
mexican restaurant in jeans. for sure!
you look great and I say dinner at Mexican in jeans…because your jean outfits are more upscale than my upscale outfits are! So you will rock it regardless!
Cute! I would have to say Mexican, jeans and sweater. I’m all for comfort!
You rock the scarf like nobody else I know.
Also? TOTALLY the organic restaurant and the vintage dress. How did you know?
Mexcian for sure!!!
Definitely the upscale organic cafe with the vintage dress. It’s a date night…you gotta have some glam in there! Like usual…very cute outfits.
hey lisa. great style as usual! wondering if you could give us a quick tutorial on this scarf tying…looks like something new! Thanks so much!
oops…and to answer your questions…jean, boots and Mexican, for sure!
Date night?!
Ahhh, that would be nice!
Definitely the jeans, sweater, boots, and a local Mexican restaurant for sure!!
sooooooo cute!! i would do the organic cafe with the vintage…. but i love that look!!! have fun:)
I have to say… Mexican… it always wins
jeans, boots… comfort!
Lisa I LOVE your style!
You always look so adorable! I would either of those cute outfits to either of those restaurants just so I can get a night out!
Hmmmm, great question, both are so appealing! I feel grown up in the vintage dress and heels, but the jeans and boots are oh so me! I am going Mexican this time!
Love seeing the photos outside…even though it is a cold day to you, it is a super warm looking one to me!
Jeans and heels together! I guess that sort of combines the two, but that’s my choice. Comfort and style….both are very important on date night.
You can think up some great outits, Lisa! Looking good!
Local favorite and cute jeans. Love comfort and yummy familiar food…plus the company makes it even better.
Love your outfits. So cute!
How do you always look so effortless? Jealous.
Definitely Mexican restaurant in jeans. I don’t wear a dress unless I have to.
P.S. I love this font!
Definitely the Mexican in cute jeans, boots, and sweater!!(My date…of 20 + years… loves jeans) !
Both outfits you’ve shown today are adorable! ;o)
well, we just had our third baby boy a few weeks ago (three that are three years and under!) so if TONIGHT is date night– i’d say leftovers are on the menu, and i’m {still} wearing maternity means and a shirt that doesn’t quite fit right, complete with spit-up.
(and wouldn’t trade it for the world!!!)
Oh, I vote for fancy! A date night should be fancy once in a while!!! It makes me feel so special and loved to go somewhere nice (as long as the meal turns out good…)
definately mexican in jeans
totally go with the mexican. it will never fail
saweeeet boots!
Mexican in jeans, boots and cute sweater!
it all depends on if the kids are coming along. : )
love your outfits as always.
Whenever I see you in those cute black boots it makes me SO sad I got rid of mine several years ago (I may have gone through a cowgirl phase for a little while in high school.
I’d typically go for mexican and little more casual, but we’re trying to eat healthier these days and the upscale organic cafe might be easier!! Have fun!
Mexican!
You look darling…as usual!
Date night? That’s a good one. No, if we did go out, I’d pick the organic restaurant and the dress, because I get so few chances to wear a dress.
I can’t remember if I’ve already commented or not. It’s been a very long day. I know I checked out your WIWW earlier this morning. Anyhow, I love your anthro scarf. It’s so versatile and pretty!
I love the scarf!!
Date night? I’d have to say jeans, boots, sweater and yummy Mexican.
How in the world do you tie your scarf? That looks so cute!
