ok, here’s our question for today. i’ll wear a pair of jeans at least 3 times before washing them. how many times do you wear your jeans between washes?
I can get about 3 wears out of mine IF my kids don’t smear something on them before we reach wear #3.

I go about 3 too. Unless a Little uses me as a napkin. My bestfriend goes to 5 wears! Can you tell she doesn’t have any kids?!

It depends on how long I’m wearing them for… if it’s just for a couple of hours (after work) and i don’t spill anything, i’ll wear them 4-5 times. It just depends.
I have an addiction to the smell of laundry detergent – they’re washed after every wear

Usually about 3 time also and then to get one more day out of them, I toss them in the dryer for 10 minutes to get their shape back!!

until they threaten to walk to the laundry themselves. (I’m a geologist and get muddy/dirty daily. clean jeans all the time would be a waste of laundry soap and time.) =)

Oh god. That might be embarassing-like 4-5 times i think. depends on how ‘worn’ they are (dirty goes into the hamper right away) and how stretched out they are. depends what ‘weight’ i’m feeling too. I only love fresh washed jeans on my skinny days

I’m the same, at least twice but normally 3-4 times depending on if they got dirty during the day. I’m contemplating never washing my skinny jeans again because every time I do I feel like I need to lose 10lbs

about 3-5 times, less if they stretch out. My favourite pair, that I spent a lot of money on, I only wear on special occasions and very rarely wash. Probably every 5 times or so.
Great question! I try to get 3 or 4 wears unless my kids dirty them up with their hands. That’s the wonderful thing about jeans!

I’m a 2x gal too
. Any more than that and I get this whole ‘saggy bottom’ pants look … so not attractive.
However, I’m finding on my skinny jeans & jean leggings that I can get 3-4x out of them. Maybe because they’re a tighter fit and have more stretch?
Either way, I have enough pairs that I only have to do laundry 1x week to get caught up. There is nothing more frustrating than not having the jeans I want clean. They are the staple in my wardrobe.

I wear them until they start to feel baggy. When I wash them, I always turn them inside out. I also never dry my jeans…it keeps them from wearing out. My jeans always look brand new that way.
Once, I have issues and I am messy!

2x maybe 3 if they aren’t to saggy. I LOVE your style, our tastes are really so similar. I could see myself in every outfit you post. I have a couple questions: is that the plum color allora necklace? I’ve been debating what color to buy (kicking myself for not getting one when she had the bright yellow) they are all so very pretty! Second question do you sew your cuffs in your jeans? Not sure I could pull cuffs off anyway–I’m pretty short but you always look so cute in them!

I usually wear may jeans a few times (maybe, 4-5) depending on what my one year old spills/smears on them. I’ll throw them in the laundry at the end of each week if I manage to make it through un-smudged.
After reading your post and comments, I think I’ve finally found the answer to the question that’s haunted me for years. How can a family of 5 have soooo much laundry….but it’s clear now, because we wash all of our clothes after each wear, even if there’s a mid day change for one reason or another.

I didn’t realize I’m one among many–I wear jeans about 3 times also, except when I/my kids spill food on them.
I am a wash every time kind of girl. If for some reason I have to wear the jeans again, I always feel slimy all day. Call me neurotic.
my general policy is that i do laundry when i run out of underwear, so however many wears happen between washes is how many times i wear them!
It depends on how long I wear them and if they get anything on them. I just love the way my jeans feels when I have already wore them a few times. And you can always stick them in the dryer for a few minutes with a dryer sheet to freshen them up

I’m the same…..unless there is spit up on them. That I can’t tolerate.
I wear my jeans as long as I can with out washing them…my theory is the longer you wait the more comfy they get! Like when you wear a fresh new clean pair of jeans it’s like, “okay man these are a little snug, did they shrink?”. Then on the third day feels like your wearing a nice pair of sweats….{I hope this doesn’t gross anyone out}

I am so glad to know I’m not the only one who wears her jeans more than once—-I was beginning to think I was….odd? My mom always said if it isn’t dirty, don’t wash it. Frequent and unnecessary washing wastes our recources, isn’t so wonderful for the environment AND shortens the life of the garment.
I’m a mostly stay-at-home, homeschooling mama so my clothes generally stay clean, which allows me to wear jeans 3 times before washing. I have specific clothes for gardening, beach-days, etc. and I wear an apron when I’m in the kitchen. These simple practices allow my everyday clothes (jeans) to stay clean.

Hi Lisa, ermmm I’m almost embarrassed to say that I’m not sure how many times I wear my jeans before they go in the wash!!! Crikey!!! I can say that if I spill something on them or I notice a stain they go in the wash straight away.. oh I’m embarrassed..giggle.. but figure it must be around 4-5 times.. Smiles..
I use to wash them every time, that stopped once it was brought to my attention that it wasn’t necessary! Now I’ll go 3 or 4 times, depending on what I’ve done in them. Or until they get a stain.
Two-three times a week. Depends on how many game days are at school. {That’s when the teachers can and only can wear jeans}. Wa-hoo!

I get maybe two wears out of my jeans…my little girl tends to wipe her hands on me.

Usually one wear and then a washing. I have four good pairs so having a few in the wash is okay. I have four boys, two dogs and lots of yucky stuff I rub into each day. I prefer having them clean.

Depends upon the jeans. Some brands stretch out faster than others (LOFT stretch out fast). I can do Target jeans for three days. LOFT one and maybe two.
I love the question! I have a friend that used to say I washed my clothes to death. Then I had children, and I have totally relaxed…jeans get at least 3 x of me wearing them ~ unless of course I spill something or someone else spills something on me! Love the black shirt!
I wear regular jeans about 3 times and “skinny” jeans about 2 times before washing. It’s nice to see my habits justified here. That was a good question.
