work and play {summertime}

I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration!

With summertime in full swing–that means lazy mornings, full sun and warm days, and lots of time with my boys. I want to get ready as quickly as possible and I want to be comfortable! That pretty much means grabbing whatever clothing is nearby and wearing as little make-up as possible. A little mascara and some pink lip gloss does the trick!

I’m still going into the workshop a couple days a week. I usually wear a sundress and sandals or a flowy skirt and tee shirt. This dress is from Anthropologie last summer. I love the midi-length.

The yellow striped cardi was perfect for layering until the sun warmed things up–then it came off.

These sandals are from Lotta from Stockholm and they’re very neutral and comfortable!

Outfit details {above}: Dress, Anthropologie. Yellow, striped cardi, Banana Republic. Sandals, Lotta from Stockholm. Day to Night Necklace, My shop. Down to Earth Bracelet, My shop.

And on days I’m home with the boys, it’s jeans and a comfortable tee and flip-flops. So easy and comfortable.

Sorry it’s not more exciting, but I’m keeping things real and this is what I’m really wearing this summer!

Outfit details {above}: Jeans, Joe’s Jeans via TJ Maxx. T-shirt, Target. Belt, H&M. Flip-flops, Lauren Conrad for Kohls. Golden wrapped agate stone necklace, My shop. Bag, Danish Design {I picked it up in Poland!}.

Ah summer! I’m loving the warm weather, the slow mornings, and extra time with my boys. What are you favorite parts of summer?

  1. I can get behind either one of these daily “uniforms”. I wish I could wear cute sundresses that your chevron anthro one everyday, but sometimes jeans are the only choice! You look fabulous in both!
