what i’m wearing {big and little polka dots}

Hello friends! We are boarding a plane today and crossing the pond. We’re so excited! I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration.

This outfit is mostly Target-and so comfortable, but also put together. Perfect for a day at the workshop and running errands.

My hair is a little lighter and a little redder. I think I like it better than my last look.

Pants, Target. Mary janes, Target. Polka dot top, Target. Denim jacket, Gap. Polka dot scarf, souvenir from England last summer. Polka dots seem to be everywhere–which is fine with me? Have you jumped on the polka dot band wagon?

  1. I love your style….& your hair. After years of straightening my hair I finally decided to go curly. I have not quite mastered the curly hair technique. I have bought & tried so many products. People have told me only towel dry, or only diffuse. What is your secret? Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!
BTW….love me some Target too! Totally going to look for those shoes!

  2. Gotta know, what hair product do you use? How/when do you apply it? I’m a shorter curly hair lady too…trying to find new products that hold the frizz at bay but also let my hair do its thing.

  3. I love the outfit.
    The polka dots are great.
The color is so pretty too.
Scarf and top look perfect together.

But the hair ! oh my goodness.
I am so jealous of your hair hah
I have thin, super, super straight hair. A tornado will not make a curl in my hair hah I remember 8th grade graduation I had long hair and I wants flowing curls. I wore curlers for 8 hours that morning so I’d have flowing curls during my graduation. Well, you guessed it took out the curlers and the hair STRAIGHT ! HAH

    I LOVE YOUR HAIR . . .

    Blessings . . .

  4. Lisa — I have those pants from Target, but I couldn’t figure out what to pair them with. (I’m kind of stuck in a rut of black, and I ventured out with brown pants — I am such a risktaker!)Thanks for showing them with the denim and polka dots!

  5. Love the polka dots – I’ve always been a fan. JC Penney has a cute top right now that’s cream with little black dots. Check it out!

I love that you mixed your dots.

I took my shoes like yours back because they rubbed. 🙁 But I found a pair similar to them and with herringbone on the side that I liked even better for the same price at TJMaxx! Word!

    Hoping your travel is drama-free!

  6. Love the hair for sure!! I have totally jumped on the polka dot band wagon! 🙂 I saw those cute shoes at Target this weekend but wound up buying some cute ankle boots there instead that were on sale. Haha I think I NEED those maryjanes too!

  7. i don’t say this about many people but you truly are an inspiration, Lisa. i love that your clothes, shoes, etc. are often from target and similar places. it reminds me that i don’t have to have a lot of money to be stylish or have fun with clothes. we have always loved polka dots and i just made my girl a DIY polka dot shirt last week : )
