what i’m wearing {thrift store score}

Hello friends! It’s Wednesday and I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration. Last week I scored two dresses at the thrift store. Oh man, that kind of good luck makes me want to thrift more! Are you a thrifter too?

Each dress was only $4. Please and thank you!

Look one. This dress was definitely handmade by someone. It’s got great construction and it fit me perfectly {what are the chances?!} Because it’s courduroy and hits below the knee, I wanted to spice it up, so it didn’t look too conservative.

Above: Dress, thrifted, $4. Leopard print heels, Target. Printed top, Target {last year}. Yellow scarf, gift. Bracelet, our heartfelt collection. Find it here.

Look two. This dress was probably awesome in the 80’s. I can imagine someone wearing it with an acid washed jean jacket and cowboy boots. And she probably had big, feathered bangs, too. Heck it was probably mine in the 80’s! It’s slightly too big but that didn’t worry me. It’s flowy and easy and just as comfortable as wearing sweats. I’m sure it will be a favorite.

Above: Black, flowy dress, thrifted, $4. Crop denim jacket, Old Navy {gift from a friend}. Polka dot scarf, souvenir from England last summer. Turquoise wedges, Target. Bracelet, our heartfelt collection. Find it here.

Raise your hand if you love thrifting! Who’s with me?

  3. p.s. I stood in front of my mirror this morning with a great big scarf clumped unattractively around my neck, and finally gave up. How DO you tie your scarves? You make it look so easy…

  4. You always look so hip, even with $4 thrifted dresses! I love the idea of being able to go find things at a thrift store and turn them into awesome outfits, I just don’t even know where to start in our small town. I did stop at a vintage store in Nashville, TN last weekend and that made me all kinds of happy! 🙂

  5. Love second hand clothing, love the prices and on you, love the look…Thanks for sharing, you are lovely!! Blessings! ~C

  6. I can’t believe you make this look so easy and gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your ideas and story. I really enjoy reading about your journey and want you to know how I am in awe of your spirit. Hugs.

  7. WOW!!! What a find/steal!! I never find anything that awesome when i go still hoping for one day =). I am in love with that denim jacket love that you can wear scarves with it without the bulk of a collar.

  8. That A-line dress is adorable!!! Hey, I’m making guacamole over at LOVD’s What I Made Wednesday. I know you Californians are masters at the yummy green dip.How do you make yours?

  9. Beautiful. If the originial owners saw you they’d probably be regretting their choice to get rid of it/them. 🙂 You wear them well!

  10. Love the heartfelt collection. Very pretty & definitely meaningful. I got the “my heart is full” cuff/bracelet. Only problem is the chain is so flimsy! Mine broke the first day I had it! 🙁 A heavier chain may cost more, but it’d be worth it!
