My favorite girlie treat was going to Napa with my two best girlies…we went to a nice dinner an walk about in Calistoga, and the next day went to the Calistoga mud baths and spa…it was heaven and much needed, both in time and relaxation with my two best buds! We try to do this every year now, and with each of our families growing, it does get harder, but when we do, it’s the best time! Thanks for this chance Lisa!

I think that it’s for anyone/everyone, but it feels so much like a ‘girly’ treat when I get to just hang out at the beach at sunset. ‘Don’t do the sunbathing thing any more, but when I watch the sun go down - preferably with a breeze - and take a clear, objective stock of my life… that’s a treat.

I love it when there is sun pouring thru the window or when I can hear rain on the roof. Definitely my favorite way to recharge. Hope you have a blessed 2010!

My favorite girly treat is a mom’s day at home while the kids are at school and hubby is at work… even just to do housework while it’s not being piled on as I work…
The day would begin with a bit of a sleeping in thing… then, stay in bed and curl up with a good book… get up with a breakfast in silence, then do some housework with the praise & worship music on (loud!)… the afternoon might be spent talking with friends on the phone without interruption…. I’d start supper, and eagerly wait for the kids to get home from school and the end of the silence to begin.

My fav girlie treat involves going to an expensive salon to get my hair done. It’s the only thing I do for myself that I consider indulgent. But with a new baby and a preschooler, I’d consider a long, quiet barh a very special treat!

of course, i love all treats…massages, facials, manicures, pedicures. but what i really love most is a great haircut. i only get my hair cut once or twice a year (for a variety of reasons), but when i do it feel wonderful!

My favorite girly treat…. craft night with my girlfriends. We make tutus for our girls, hair bows, screen paintings… and are trying to come up with some more ideas. An evening with the girls crafting and sipping some wine is the best treat.

My husband draws the water, adds bubbles and sometimes, when time allows or life necessitates, comes and sits on the floor next to me for a heart to heart. I am very simple… I look for`at least’ few minutes every day– for that ~quiet ~ so I can step back when everyone is asleep….and I am able to have `quiet’ to allow `God & Nature’ to just ~BE~ so I never Lose any trace of the day that has just passed. I wan to be able to burn it in my memory & remember day-sounds & smells -look at everyone & everything & have time to just hear them all breathe.
I lost my 1st child,son in his 1st yr, when I was just 21. That was all burnt in my memory- -the pain of every second-every movement. 30 yrs later I can recall it like it happened yesterday. The pain in my heart -takes my breath away and takes me to my knees in prayer. I learned, The Lord gave women Grace & strength=we did not know we had -we continue on-1foot in front of the other-day after .broken in heart-He holds us up & carry us thru our pain-He Illuminates his Love & gets us thru…we learn to see the Wonder & Beauty in all little things in our day to day life. Our child breathing.. the wind blowing..

My favorite girlie treat is unexpected time alone; just me, a cup of coffee and lots of blogs to read! With two small children in the house, you know things can get a little crazy! Last night, my daughter (almost 5!) didn’t have dance because of the holiday, so my husband took both kiddos to a basketball game. I plopped down in the big leather chair, turned the tv OFF, grabbed a cup of joe, and sat down to hang out with some bloggers. Ahhhhh- the sound of no sound at all!!!!!!

My favorite girlie treat is mini-vacations with my mom. Now that I’m older and we don’t get to see each other as much as we would like, there is nothing better than taking a weekend trip to go see a play or just to relax!
The whole family home but not needing me, clean house, and me curled up on the couch with coffee and a good book. I love home the best!
I am one woman in a house of men and boys, so my favorite ‘girlie’ thing to do is spend a few hours with a favorite girlfriend. We talk, shop, enjoy a latte, and generally just get our ‘girl-fix’. By the end of the day, I am ready to come home to all my boys as a better mom and wife. It’s the best!

Favorite girly treat…to really take the time to go for it and get away with some friends…the extended time away, like a weekend or part of a week really allows you to let your hair down, relax, have time for fun activities that take awhile, like scrapbooking or a long board game….but most importantly, to get real and transparent with each other like you can when you are out of your usual routine.
I really have to choose one? Okay, I think that a QUIET bubble bath with a good book. I have 2 small boys and it is the ONLY time I get some peace (for at least 15 minutes)

Since I do nails I would say my biggest girlie treat is a great new book or magazine and a bowl of ice cream. I have a 7 month old baby girl so it’s hard to find the time for myself so I steal minutes away when I can to recharge the batteries.
