We spent the weekend in Corning, NY for the Raising Generations Today conference {which was soooo good!}. The whole family came and I spoke on ‘finding beauty in brokenness’ For my morning session, Steve and the boys came and I loved having them there. So different than my usual conference time. We are visiting friends in Warwick and then heading to New York City today. Yay! How about some hellos for a new week?

Hello three plane rides from our small townie California to a small town in New York. Phew! Flying with kids isn’t easy.

Hello drawing and sketching. He’s been carrying his sketch pad everywhere. I’m hoping I can get him to sketch some things in New York City–maybe the statue of liberty?

Hello silliness. And there were tears too. But we made it in one piece.

Hello window shopping. Lots of cute antiques shop in Corning!

Hello city square. The buildings are so different on this side of the country.

Hello shield and anchor. I love these two images! Symbols of protection and stability.

Hello sketching some more.

Hello fancy water and a very sweet smile.

Hello letting Matthias take a pic. Not too bad!

Hello art studio. I loved peeking through the window and seeing works in progress. So beautiful!

Hello old signs and chippy paint.

Hello time TOGETHER! It’s crazy and imperfect and lots of fun.

We can’t wait to see New York City. I’ll have more pics to share soon. What are you saying hello to this week? Leave a comment with some hellos or link up your own hello monday post in the comments!

I realized I left without getting you the names of those NYC restaurants, but I shot you an email this morning with the names & links. Hope it makes it through! And Warwick is just around the corner from us! How fun is that. Enjoy the city.

  11. Welcome to the east coast….we have had a miserable winter. When I log onto your blog and see your photos, I ‘m so jealous. I’ve been wearing layers and layers of clothing. Anyway, enjoy NY. Take a peak at the new Trade Center building. Very moving experience.
