hello monday {original art at the sanitarium}

It’s a brand new week. I’m waking up in Dallas today and I’ve got a to-do list a mile long. Phew!

This week I’m sharing pics of original art from the Sanitarium in San Luis Obispo. It’s a gorgeous B&B that used to be a hospital–and the owner and some employees create gorgeous paintings. How about some hellos?

Hello color! Hello pattern! Bright shades are making me happy. I’m longing for warmer weather.

Hello sunshine. We’ve had some gorgeous sunshine, but spring is fickle. I know it won’t last.

Hello seeing friends {and making new friends!} I think the connections I’ve made over the years at Blissdom is my favorite part of the conference.

Hello being stretched. This week I’m doing a morning show in Dallas and speaking at Blissdom. Have I ever mentioned I’m an introvert? I am so thankful for these opportunities–but it’s definitely stretching for me. And if you think of it, I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers!

Hello missing my boys. It’s hard to be away. I’m so thankful for my awesome husband who is also an incredible daddy. And for my mother-in-law who is coming to stay, too!

Hello craving beet salad with honey roasted almonds goat cheese. Random but oh so yummy!

Hello hotel room and not cooking. It’s nice to have a break.

Hello flowy skirts and boots packed for this trip.

Hello brother, sister in law and sweet nieces who happen to be in Dallas. It’s so nice to have family here.

Hello brand new, crazy busy, very exciting week.

So excited you’re at a fun conference. My first blogging conference will be the International Food Blogger Conference this fall — so excited!

Hello to life a year older! Hello, sunshine and wind. Hello to conference week and time with my girls. Hello to visiting my grammy and visiting my old roommate. Hello, wine tasting with friends, and hello to an early Easter celebration this weekend {we’ll be in Mexico on the real day!}!

  2. Hello baby with his 4th fever in 5 weeks. Ready to be well!! Hello looong overdue dinner tonight with two of my besties/soul sisters who I don’t get to see nearly enough. Hello God…you have me in such a season of growing, whatcha gonna do in me this week?

Lisa, enjoy your time away, soak up girl time, know that you are blessing those who meet you/see you/hear you, and rest knowing that loving capable hands and hearts are taking care of your sweet boys!

  3. JK Rowling, and Barak Obama are both considererd introverts …good crowd to be in I’d say ! I think alot of introverts tend to be very creative people as solitude is crucial to creating.

  4. Hi Lisa,

You are goin gto do great! You always speak from your heart, you are sincere and sweet and humble – those are wonderful qualities in a speaker!!

    Thinking and praying for you!

  5. I would have never pegged you as an introvert. Good luck with the morning show and Blissdom. You certainly know how to stretch.

  6. Lisa:
Thanks for the inspiring “Hello Monday”. Will remember you this week in my prayers. Also, think of you very often anyway and what amazing parents you both are. Love your words each post. Enjoying my last purchases from you. So, so pretty!
God Bless you & your precious family.

  7. Good Luck! I know what you mean (sort of) about being an introvert and finding yourself speaking at a conference…from time to time I’ve found myself in front of a group (on a MUCH MUCH smaller scale!) and thought to myself…”How did I get up here?”…but then once you start…it just happens. From reading this blog I can tell…once you start you will have no problem connecting with your audience. Have fun!
