there were lots of stars out last night–it was kind of a clear, after-the-rain, magical kind of sky.

i’d love to know how you managed to actually get pictures of the starry sky… i can never seem to do it! …even when i try with a tripod (sad, i know).
hi erin! i set the camera to 3200 ISO and then i set it on the ground pointed directly to the nighttime sky. then i hit the timer button so i could move back and let the shutter stay open for as long as it took without any movement at all. and that’s what i got!!
SO pretty Lisa.
Can I be nosey and ask what kind of editing program you use?
hi kelly! i do my editing in iphoto and on picnik.com. xo

What a great shot…and so glad you got to capture a moment that you were enjoying!
Lisa! That is STUNNING!
Thanks for the tips on taking the picture. I think it’s important to get a little bit of foreground landscaping to add interest to the pic. That’s definitely something I need to remember!
Makes me want to go star gazing! Beautiful!
